Kazunori Yamauchi wins 4 hour race
Confirms that GT5 isn't really all that realistic, but GT6 might be. They did just include damage after all!

Don't, wait until Nintendo comes with a new firmware that does not brick Wii's. You get nothing out of it, except a risk for bricking your Wii. There are ways to get in the Wii shop without updating. See the hacking thread for more info. Best plan it too wait! Or if you really can't wait, upgrade your firmware, but don't say I have not warned you.
Nintendo sucks at keeping hackers away, and that's sad considering their a multi-billion dollar company with near-unlimited resources.
Not only that, the guys who made the homebrew channel and bootmii, actually made an anti piracy thing. If you pirate a game, the homebrew browser turns upside down. So the hackers are doing Nintendo's job and Nintendo the hacker's job.
i don't have hard data but my guess would be that it is counter productive to invest too much into anti-piracy measures. they'd probably spend far more than what they'd save.
also it's not just nintendo. every machine has been breached with the exception of the ps3 which is most likely due to bluray related constraints and not anti-piracy software

Yeah, you're probably right, but it still sucks that they do such a half-ass job trying to prevent hackers that it ends up only hurting those who don't hack their consoles.
You just described DRM

Rio won the Olympic bid of 2016
Go Brazil, about time South America gets an Olympic game.
That is f********* awesome.
And they didn't even need to release a new version to do it
BTW, the podcast ending music of Sfighter is epic. I'm rocking as a type.
It's the same graphics only sharper. Did you not watch the chapter 1 footage I posted last week? There was a good video on IGN too a while back I can't remember what it was called. When you see good quality video of it it looks impressive. All the reviews have praised it too, not just visually but the game as a whole too. I wont buy it, unless some kind soul gifts it to me for X-mas, but its a good game from reviews anyway.
EDIT:
I just read this in the Kotaku review:
"The Fearlessness of the Developers: It's amazing enough to play a Wii for which the developers appear to have been given the time, budget and talent to make the graphics and sound top-flight. It's all the more extraordinary that the creators of Dead Space Extraction had the will and the chops to render many of the same environments on Aegis VII and aboard the spaceship Ishimura that were produced in much higher detail on much more powerful consoles last year. That Extraction's environments look as good as they do — dark, high-tech, detailed, moody — is both a triumph of technical juice-squeezing and a testament to the value of art design over raw processing power. Don't trust the many underwhelming screenshots out there of this game; it's a visual stunner. Many of the set-piece rooms that dropped jaws on the PS3/360 will drop jaws when people encounter them in this game as well."
Yay, London in 2 years time. Yay...
It's costing London taxpayers shitloads which will create jobs. So yay for construction workers and stuff, we're all paying you! Thousands each.
Who cares what it costs?! You have to pay those taxes anyways, but now it goes to building stadiums instead of going directly in politicians pockets.
They are cutting back on rubbish collections and yet can pay millions for this. Yay.
We expect a good number of pics from the Olympic extravaganza, GG. We demand pics of hot international ass.
Fuck pics. The whole VG Press in London in 2012, let's do it!
But I don't want to go to London. I heard people have Sweaty Balls Syndrome over there. Eww! I prefer my balls to be naturally dry, thank you.
let's be more ambitious. the whole VG press in Rio 2016!! Believe
actually i agree with robio. the olympics is a terrible burden on everyone involved directly and only elderly tourists with a fat disposable income and tv audiences enjoy them. it doesn't create long term jobs nor does it create sustainable developments. look at all the stadiums and facilities in athens, left there to just rot. i think brasil and rio has enough problems without this (but i guess they think it will help them if they made the bid in the first place, except it won't help many of the people in need of help)

Since I incur no cost in this venture. I concur! Everyone come to London in 2012!
