After asking the crowd of attendees what they thought of TGS this year (and urging them to be honest in their responses), Inafune expressed disappointment in this year's show and its games line-up.
"Personally when I looked around [at] all the different games at the TGS floor," Capcom's Ben Judd translated Inafune, "I said 'Man, Japan is over. We're done. Our game industry is finished.'"
However, he then uses Capcom's upcoming titles as an example of "kick ass" games coming from Japan. An interesting remark, as Dead Rising 2 is being handled by Canadian studio Blue Castle Games.
While Inafune's remarks may seem harsh, he's not alone in his feelings -- many we've spoken to have told us they were underwhelmed by this year's shows. It's certainly smaller in size, and many Japanese developers (some due mainly to financial reasons) have chosen not to attend this year's show.
Yeah. This year seemed worse than the past ones.
Also, Nintendo usually shows their stuff during their own conference, right? What was called, Space World or something?
And Capcom didn't announce anything about SFIV Dash. I was looking forward to hearing something too.

Nintendo goes to TGS once every 3 years or so, and when they don't go no one else is really pressured to make a big announcement. Still, even with that into consideration this was a very blah year. Not sure if the revitalized E3 was used as a bigger platform or what. I think it proves once again that while these shows can be kind of fun, they're ultimately dinosaurs and not really needed anymore.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileBrawl texture hacks. If you have an modded Wii you can download Brawl codes that eliminate tripping, adds hit stun (better for combos), allows you to use all music on all stages, balances the character roster, texture hacks and more. All made by the Brawl modding community.
If I can play as Scorpion and Sub-Zero in Brawl, I'll mod my Wii today.
No seriously, I can't stomach cute things. Like Mega Man Powered Up...great game, but it's just too adorable for me to handle!
