It must be noted, however, that it's not the technical prowess of the footage what has people (myself included) excited about the game-to-be, but instead the fact that it is indeed from Team Ico, and the caliber of the games released by said developer, as well as the emotional involvement that such games usually demand from the player.
So basically the trailer is useless. My opinion of this game is nonexistent until more info surfaces.
It's. Not. A. Trailer! Fuckshitasscockarmpitanus sucker.
so, emotional you ask? fuck yeah!! emotional doesn't even begin to describe it.
the vgpress is henceforth split into the righteous (rag, steel and i as well as anyone else who wishes to join the rat/dog/bird totem of righteousness) ... and the fallen (you shall all be named and shamed in time unless you repent and ask forgiveness)
___
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Ico sucked. SotC was a masterpiece.
Hey look its Edge! Hey... wait you dissing Capcom games. You know what in some ways you are right. RE5 is not as good as RE4. DMC4 is not as good as DMC3. They haven't made anything as good as Okami. Dead Rising and Lost Planet are two good IPs but it's not as good as DMC was when it hit. So yeah they are not as good as they were last gen BUT they are still probably better than almost every one.
Trico will be awesome, complaing about the game from an old build of non gameplay is pointless at this time. All we are supposed to get from that is the theme and type of game.
WTF?
WTH was that thing? It's like a Chimera from some old Victorian beastiary.
That footage is test footage from a year ago? Must look amazing by now.
Yeah, all you fantards jizzing on Punchout and Trico crap. You should be piling in on the Rhythm Heaven Bukkake.
But Okami isn't even that good.
Anyhow no one is really complaining about some test footage. Just that weird rat bird thing. You have to realise that gamers deprived of PS2s and PS3s have never been able to play an Ico game So I can't get as excited.
Ubisoft has unveiled Wii-exclusive football game Academy of Champions. It will work with both the balance board and Wii MotionPlus peripherals when it's released later this year.
Legendary footballer Pelé is helping Ubisoft make the game, and will coach "kids and their families" through the Academy until they have the skills and the players to take on and beat rival Academies.
Ubisoft describes the game as a "rich, story-driven adventure" that's both "humorous" and "over-the-top". Actual gameplay specifics, however, are scarce; we're not sure whether you'll be playing football like in PES or FIFA, for instance.
Pelé's head looks funny in the concept artwork.
We'll let you know more when we do, which will probably be at E3 next week.
This is going to be like ASS on a stick. Stick ass.

Nice SUDA interview on No More Heroes
1UP: You're working on No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle for release early next year. Can you give us an update on the game and the development process?
Suda: It's the very end. If I had to say one word, I'd say it's at the very end of production.
I don't understand, if its at the end of production why do we have to wait until next frigging year?
So reading the Need for Speed Nitro preview on IGN, it does play like De Blob. It colours the city as you drive through.
Thanks to some great art, it completely works, especially as you whiz through environments applying color and patterns. (Although I didn't see this, future builds will apparently allow you to assign a graffiti pattern to your car and as you progress through levels, winning, you will paint the world in your pattern.)
The second detail that blasts you is that Nitro is the first game in the history of the franchise to run at an uninterrupted 60 frames per second. I didn't see so much as a stutter as I blazed through a portion of a city racetrack set to the backdrop of Madrid, Spain. The fluidity stays locked even with a host of effects such as bloom lighting and speed blurs when your nitro kicks in. Add in the fact that EA Montreal has endeavored to create a racer with a real sense of speed -- no more need for it -- and comparisons are bound to be made to the Burnout franchise. That's a good thing because, first, Burnout is a great series, and two, it's also one without a Wii rendition.
I like EA Montreal's priorities and I think Nintendo fans in search of a genuinely fast, fluid and stylized racer will be thrilled with the end result.
Who are the almosts?
Kojima games.
You know you'll never beat it.
That hasn't stopped me before!
