Uh H.G, if a guy can either walk into a restaurant and enjoy the Gears of War on offer, or dive into its dumpster and enjoy whatever he finds (Nuts and Bolts), I view that as worth noting (such a person is a guy I don't pay an attention to) but not really something to get upset about.

Level-5 interview makes no sense
“There isn’t a clear winning system. This is a problem for a company like mine. As a publisher, we can’t just not develop for consoles. We considered quite a bit and have now pretty much decided on the direction that should be taken. We were able to make many popular series like Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven, and Ni no Kuni. We will use such series as weapons to evolve our console business.” - Level-5 president Akihiro Hino
This is just a small snippet of a massive interview with Mr. Hino. In the full interview, we learn a lot more about how Level 5 feels concerning Layton series/Inazuma sales. We also hear some more specific comments on the 360/PS3/Wii. Sounds to me like Level 5 is pretty interested in the Wii…and that Inazuma sequel may end up there. RFA: Right now, the highest is 32 gigabytes. That’s not to say it couldn’t go higher if flash memory
prices drop.
VB: Why did Mr. Iwata take that sensitive issue head on in his speech about the complaint that Nintendo dominates its own platforms with its own games?
RFA: To be candid, what Mr. Iwata wanted to do was share facts and dispel myths. Fact: Wii is the platform that hit 50 million the fastest. Fact: The DS has surpassed 100 million. Here’s a fact for you. After 52 months in the market, the installed base of the DS in the U.S. is larger than the installed base of the PlayStation 2, at the same time frame. Fact: In the U.S., third-party publishers sold more Wii games than any other home console. In fact, third-party publishers sold more DS games than on any other console. What Mr. Iwata was trying to do was to share facts to dispel what some of our competitors like to frame as an inability for others to succeed on Nintendo platforms. The fact is that is just not true.
VB: How will you keep growing?
RFA: We are in a fortunate spot given our momentum. It also means the hurdle is that much larger. This month, we need to sell more than the 2.5 million units of Super Smash Bros. that we sold last March. That’s a big hurdle. For us, that is what keeps us focused. How do we continue driving growth and bringing great new experiences to the consumer?

We’re seeing more and more of that: downloadable content with ‘Rock Band,’ with ‘Guitar Hero…’ What Nintendo is doing is messaging to the consumer how easy it is to get online and all of the benefits. am i the only one bewildered by the punch-out article saying there was so much to the game they had to cut some stuff out because it couldn't fit the DVD?
honestly looking at the game i was quite seriously wondering why it wasn't going to be a WiiWare title and now they're saying that game is so big it won't fit on a dual layer DVD? strikes me as a bit of publicity BS

It's like 12 characters against static backdrops in the dark. I've never played the game so I'm not a fan. But it looks shallow to me. This content news sounds promising though.

Oh guys, I reinstalled the Mario Kart channel and played online.
I forgot how good some guys are. Whenever some japanese guy with 8000 points kicks on you know you're in for it. But when you do well that makes it more satisfying. The online mode of this game is so underated. With Wii Speak and a system update for all online games so you could see who was online in general (rather than specific games) this would rule all.
And I spotted so many karts I haven't seen before, I thought I was done with the game but apparently I haven't come close to unlocking everything.
I saw the ****** F-Zero Captain Falcon racer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With toad stickers. And a special Mii cart.
And then Brawl has also got all those extra's, like the music tracks and playable demos of games. I doubt that Punch out! will have all that in it.
I haven't read the article yet, did they actually say they couldn't fit it on a dual layer disk?
They said DVD, maybe they were talking about the single layer 4.7gb?
I just heard on the IGN podcast that chracters have still 2-D intros. So where is all the space being eaten? Some hacker will check the disc size and post the info somewhere, so if they are lying they will be found out.
