i agree with yoda big time. and since it's confession time i own up to having hacked my psp. i bought about 30 games for that thing. way more than most people so i don't feel bad about it in the least.

Well, I ony have one ROM, Monster World IV (English translated version). It was only released in Japan, and the only way I could ever play it is with a ROM. That being said, I would buy it in a heartbeat if it were released fully translated on VC.
I really don't have a problem with people downloading ROMs of old games. Shoot, most of the Youtube videos of classic games I watch are because of emulators. But I do have a problem with people pirating new games.

The game is horrid. Horrid pacing, horrid control input, horrid game design, horrid level design, I'm sorry but it's just plain ass. I'm sorry but I can't see how anyone could like this game especially with Shinobi III being on the same console.
Pretty much. I still do my majority of purchases on the VC to let them know I want more of these games (it works too just look at Sin & Punishment 2) but at times I try them out on ROMS first and see if they are worth my time.

yep, i agree. it's awesome having emulators on the psp. i can play all of the old games i had on the gameboy and gbc and save just fine whereas i can no longer use those old carts because the batteries die.

Monster Hunter 3 looks pretty good. The trailer I posted above isn't very good quality, but it does show off some cool gameplay, huge enemies, and large levels.
That trailer increased my interest level, at least. Hard to tell how the game plays from it, though.

To answer your question Punk, people hold the arcade version in higher regard - I've never heard good things about any of the console Strider games (barring the sequel). But even then, that game is still fucking difficult. It's good, but near fucking impossible. Though if I were to download a ninja game on the Mega Drive, I'd get Shinobi.
As for me, yeah, I download older games that are very unlikely to get a home release again any time soon - if at all. Trust me, if Capcom were to release a compilation with every single one of their VS games, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Until then, I'm stuck with playing Marvel vs Capcom on MAME.
Though without emulation, I wouldn't have gotten into the greatest fighting game ever made...THIRD STRIKE. I can see why DC raves about this...

What's not to love, the game has such an awesome style, a drunk king and a knight riding a freaking cow. The big 3 Wii titles I am most hyped for is Fragile, Madworld, and Little King's Story. Unlike most I try to hype games most people are ignoring, because they are not "big" games. The same thing happened when Nintendo showed Pikmin for the first time, look at it now a AAA franchise!
That still doesn't make any sense though. The game isn't even hard it's just...crap. It's pretty easy at times actually.

Seriously people you HAVE to buy and play "The Witcher". In short it does to WRPG in the 3D space to what Dragon Quest VIII did to JRPG's in the 3D space.
