You know what I mean man.
Anyhow, Rygar is alive? Disaster is alive? What next? Project Hammer and FFCC?
I prefer the Saya in the movie you know. I was thinking about it earlier. In the movie the supporting agents almost fear and respect her and Saya herself either speaks in quiet monotone or barks out orders. This is also reflected in her facial animation, which is almost still all the time, or very fierce and intense. She has this killer look in her eyes. In this series the Saya character has got a soft, girlish face and is your typical animated japanese schoolgirl.
RE5 screens
Look at them ripe tomatoes.
GG according to one issue of Ngamer, Project Hammer is rumoured to be still in development. And we all know the track record of Ngamer rumours right? About Blood+ remember the show has nothing in common with the movie! It will get better though and Saya does change over the course of the series. Plus there are some other cool stuff that I won't spoil for you!
IGN has better Rygar screens
Looks all right.
SPRAY SCREENS
It was put on hold. It's never been officially canned. But who know what is going on? I look forward to watching more blood tonight. I prefer them calling the monsters teroptaren and not Wings.
One thing I'm hoping for is the Wings to have some motivation and back story. I mean in the movie the monsters could adopt human form and fool everyone and chat together. So I was hoping that the monsters in the series would have almost human like emotions and rivalries and backstory and emotion. Still I have like 44 episodes to go, so I'm hopeful!
Hohoho, you are going to be very very very happy about Blood+. You might want to watch Naruto if you have spare time, most of the villains have a motivation and backstory!
I was going to buy Deathnote complete box set next, but I wanted to hear Bugsy's final verdict. I only know Naruto from the games. It looks kind of weird. The main characters have whiskers?
Has anyone seen Spriggan? Or Metropolis?
Why do they all look like Playstation 2 games though? And I'm not talking God of War 2 or FF12 level either.
Not liking the RE5 pics much either. Is it just me or are the graphics not very impressive? I still don't like the new look 'Roid Redfield either. He looked cool in REmake, but here he just looks dumb.
i have seen fritz lang's Metropolis if that counts. has anyone seen the french animated black and white film Renaissance?
GG i have the last few episodes of death note to see then i will try to give a more full set of impressions.
i think my next series will be paranoia agent, i have wanted to see that for some time.
___
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Bugs if you still are missing episodes, let me know I can find them. I am also planning to see Paranoia Agent, but I have not found a satisfactory episode on the internet. They have one where the subtitles are behind the speach. Very annoying!
Morning all. Lovely day in Melbourne.
GG, I've seen Spriggan. Wasn't too bad. I haven't seen Metropolis, but I'd assume it's similar to the Fritz Lang movie?
Actually, I take that back. It isn't really that similar.
Tried out Google's Chrome. Not too bad. Works quickly, and has a neat design about it. Will need to explore it a bit more though...
Sorry but I cant get excited for Rygar which wasnt that great a game to begin with.
At gaf there is a whole debate over the new control scheme for RE5. I cannot stand the people that believe this new scheme was always needed. I am not against optional schemes, what I dont get is how people do not see that the RE4 controls fit the game. Change the controls but keep the game the same and it changes everything. RE5 looks just like RE4, I think these controls will be tacted on.
Vader no one is exited for Rygar, only surprised it is still alive.
About RE5, well allowing strafing in RE4 gameplay would break the balance. Most enemies had no projectile and being able to back away and strafe will shooting would totally break any challenge. The chainsaw guy and the blind wolverine guy would be easy as 3.14159...
Think about it, it would be like an angry mob attacking you in plain sight, while you have a machine gun and they have a pitchfork. There are a few things they can do to correct the balance. Increase the ammount enemies at screen at once, seeing as there are 2 character, this means the enemy count has to be increased even further.
Another thing is to give the enemies guns. This would even the odds. Maybe even a cover system. This would make RE5 a Gears of Wars clone though. Maybe that is what gaf is exited about.
Well Nintendo stated that they aren't following that for sure (and for obvious reasons). However, in my opinion, every day it becomes more and more obvious that this is going to be the generation that breaks the old "tradition" of cycling. Think of the previous generation. There was no confusion in terms of what to publish where, games in series were released in a timely span (3 Final Fantasy's, 3 GTA's, 3 Devil May Cry's, 4 Rachet & Clank's, 3 Resident Evil's, 2 Gran Turismo's, etc.), and consoles reached the sweet price off $200 by the spring of 2002. This generation things couldn't be anymore opposite. Publishers do not know what route they should take so it is clear that they have to evolve their ways of publishing, developers have only released one if any games so far this generation (in comparison 0 Final Fantasy's, 1 GTA, 1 Devil May Cry, 1 Rachet & Clank, 0 Resident Evil's, 0 Gran Turismo's in comparison to 2 GTA's, 1 Final Fantasy with another right around the corner, 2 GTA's, 2 Devil May Cry's, 2 Rachet's, 2 Resident Evil's, and 1 Gran Turismo). Developers will be pretty angry to see that they must drop their development systems after only a single game. Not only that but most of the consoles have yet to reach mainstream price and neither have reached the "sweet" price.
The transition from this generation from the last was certainly a wake up call, not only was it the longest transition ever (statement supported by EA) but the Playstation 2, even to this day, demostrates that it still has some life left in it both in terms of hardware sales (it old sold the PS3 and 360 Feburary and is still doing respectable today) and in software (Iron Man sells the best on PS2, Persona 4 best selling Shin Megami Tensei game ever in Japan). To me it is very obvious that this generation won't be done at 2010 or even 2011. Now all their is to do is for a console maker to make a move to this.
Also people wanted the game to be like this....I still think 4's style is 1000% times better.
I think that Resident Evil did sorta create a genre called Survival Horror. That saying I do agree with everything else. People just don't like change. I mean sure it did have elements missing but it is the first RE game to use that formula. Hell wasn't Resident Evil 1 far inferior to 2, 3, and REmake? And wasn't that just a copy and paste off of Alone in the Dark in the first place? It takes time and experience to get things right. To me this is just a classic example of people fearing change.

You get it. I don't understand how so many people that clame to understand video games can't understand such a simple concept. The people on gaf are driving me crazy, they want a new control scheme cause its what all shooters have, its like they are oblivious to what chaos that would bring on the gameplay.
^^^The people at GAF drove me crazy long ago. Anyway I see what you mean. People just don't understand things that make a game well the game. People just look at what seems intuitive to them instead of looking at how the game is played and what the mechanics offer. To me its like how people complain about the text in Phoenix Wright, the combat in Odin Sphere, the lack of NPC's in Metroid, the lack of voice-acting and massive open-world in Zelda, turnbased battle systems in RPG's. It really makes me chuckled alot.
EDIT - It's been 3 days since I've applied to sign up for GAF. How long does finalizing take?
