I could list more games from the past that appeal to me but I guess that this is a "to each his own" affair so we should just leave at that. Unless you prefer to go to the path where I give you a list of games and you disagree and give a bigger list of games and I disagree and we spend 4 pages disagreeing until Gamingeek hits us over our heads?

I agree with Archangel for the most part, the PS2 might have had a bunch of impressive titles last gen, but I am very much enjoying this generation. Think about it, this is the year we are going to get to see Spore, LBP, Infinite Undiscovery, Midnight Club: LA, Fable II, Left 4 Dead, and Fallout 3 all in the same year, and we've already seen a couple of games that have scored in the high 9s metcacritically.
Yeah we could do that but I agree with you in not doing it. While I did enjoy all those games I listed I was moreso pointing out games based on the consencus of the reviews they recieved because so far this gen there have been alot of games considered great, usually 8 and above, so I consider the quantity to be quite sufficient. I guess it would have been more appropriate for you to say that the number of games that appeal to you isn't the same as it was last gen.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileMy sentiments exactly Yoda.
Well actually there were more games to get higher scores during this time last generation. But I find that very irrelevent as review scores are just an opinion and that they aren't held to the standards games of today are. But you are right very few games appeal to me on console this generation.
Also guys I FINALLY got done with my epic article. It took me 4 hours straight but I did it! Here's the link now read! (Blame the site for not registering my paragraphs).

1. tabs to ggweekly and forum etc. They HAVE to be up the top for ease of access!
2. Ticker, durr.
3. Name, with our wonderful symbol. CWUTIDIDTHAR?
4. Articles, this gives us room for two, or one longer article that has two paragraphs which would give it the further feel of a newspaper.
5. If the article is too long then it can be "continued on page 2." click on it and it'll go to "page 2".
6. Room for links to more articles, or perhaps a comic! C'mon all newspapers worth their salt have comics.
Thank you!

Already did. It sucked.
Yay. 100th comment.
Wow, do want!
LOL well that's Chuck for ya. He's been doing that for 20 years. Its like his trademark. He's got a badass voice though, so I don't care what he does up there as long as its nothing Rob Halford-ish. And Testament are one of the few 80's thrash bands that sound as good or better now as they did back then.
Hahaha, well I don't know about pics, but definitely a report. Should be killer because its one of the special headlining shows.
BY THE WAY GUYS.......why do I have the ability to edit and change today's updates?
Technically it's the illusion that you can since if you try you'll be denied due to authorization.
I added caching of the news page, but forgot about the edit icons, so that's why you see those.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileSaying that capcom are the best third party on wii really isn't the point considering that its such a shallow pool. Saying that they acheive that by porting games years late is even worse. I was never estatic with a RE4 wii edition and have never bought it, I own it on GC and I can even put that disc into my Wii and play it. RE gets a proper sequel to RE4 on other systems when GC was the lead platform for RE4 and then the Wii RE gets turned from a RE4 style game to a lightgun spin off shooter that is no better than an 8.0 at best.
Dead Rising is a port of a game I already own and which came out over a year ago. Just because Svensson claims that it's build from the ground up doesn't make it anything less than another lower effort title from them. They have a porting team that did the Wii version of RE4 and now Dead Rising. It's like a money printing machine for them, no effort, semblance of a licence and cash in the pocket.
Meanwhile they are leveraging a whole slew of titles for other platforms, big franchises and productions like Bionic Commando, SFIV, Dark Void, Resident Evil 5 etc etc. These games are releasing for every platform under the sun apart from wii. And then their makers than talk about wii users like they have to beg for titles or that in a year or so after release we will start thinking about it, maybe.
Capcom then unveil Spyborgs which looks like a PSP game and then Neopets, a puzzle game and expect the wii audience to be estatic. Then they unveil the Dead rising port and again expect rapturous cheers. Again patronising the audience with their responses to questions asked, claiming that they are delivery full support when it's pretty bloody obvious that they are not.
None of this would matter if the Wii was another GC of course, but it's outselling the competition combined. Given Wii economics, you would think that they would put a plan into action to make two to three big games on Wii for every big budget game on other systems given the costing at least.
If they were honest about it and just said: this is how we want to spend our cash then fine. But don't pass off your ports, spin offs and gimped games than claim how great you are supporting a platform. It's the patronising tone from publishers that pisses me off more than anything. Don't lie about it or sugarcoat shit.
What's worse about Capcom is that this kind of thing hasn't been uncommon from third-parties -- release some cheap release, then clamour that it didn't sell. It's self-fulfilling prophecy, so to speak, except that in Capcom's case the games have sold well and that apparently still isn't enough. Now they just outright lie that they're giving equal or marginal support.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileYou're more than welcome to stick around and post HiRes. Hope to see you around.
However you didn't give us any warning you couldn't update and that left a gap in our updates. I'm going to have to ask Yo to take away your updating privaledges and try and reschedule things to get a regular - no offence or anything, but you kind of just disappeared and left us in the lurch. Otherwise we will have to stretch out to fill the gaps. If you are not happy with the direction of the site you should go to Iga's blog and see the outline of where this site is going. As a user here you have a lot of input into how this place changes compared to any other major site.
So I hope you stick around man, I just need a reliable update guy.
Maybe once we overhaul everything, you can do some editorials or reviews for us?
So you couldn't even use a ruler? Damn you. This document is just a mockery!
Final verdict? Hold on, before you do let me get my beating stick ready.
RE4 was suppossed to be "a test". Then Okami was a test according to capcom. The test was succesful, capcom, suprised by RE4 Wii's million plus sales decided to........... do a port of Dead Rising. So the test was successful... so we get another test! If Dead rising sells well now Wii owners can wait 18 months after RE5's release and get a port too! WOOT!
SFIV just baffles me. The franchise has new super mario bros potential and it has a cel shaded style that could be emulated on the Xbox 1 generation for christsakes. So rather than ready a version for the market leading platform that is destroying all else in sales, it's not even a consideration....... until, maybe, there is a glimmer of chance a year and half later of a port. Sweet. Capcom is really spoiling wii owners here. I have nothing against making games on other platforms, I'll be getting RE5 on my 360 but they should be doing proper big budget games for wii as well, especially given the huge userbase and lower cost ogf development. Hell, even Ubiport are doing a fully fledged Red Steel sequel.
Meanwhile REUC producer thinks that "Wii users like easiness" so changes the RE4 style chronicles game to a lightgun wii shooter. Gee thanks. I own 3 Capcom wii games and I intend on getting dead rising this winter as well given the inherent flaws in the original, but the only game I can even give Capcom credit for is Zack and Wiki and in my country it launches for FULL price while being budget price everywhere else. I'm doing my part in buying capcoms games, so why aren't they using my cash to fund better games on Wii? Both RE games sold over a million on wii. So we get a port of an old game as reward and a childish looking platformer from a start up with PSP graphics?
I know spyborgs is being overhauled and I really hope it comes out well, but from what they have shown so far, they can't expect us to be jumping for joy and then patronisingly pat us on the head and claim how great they are.
At the start of the generation, third-parties got two free passes. One was the "suprise" factor of no one expecting Nintendo to succeed. Since, well, I was the only one who thought they'd succeed (at least after E3 2006), that's fair. The other was people like the IGN Nintendo team and hordes of forum-goers saying to buy these third-party games to prove you'll buy their efforts. This extended to anything that was not shovelware, and you had better buy it or else you deserve nothing.
I have and will buy whatever I feel like playing. It's the third-parties' job to figure that one out. However good, I don't own Zack & Wiki in large part because I don't really care that much about adventure games in comparison to pretty much anything else. And from the third-party response to sales, pretty clearly it didn't matter anyway.
As for what Capcom could actually do, how about actually trying to progress the Mega-man series? Wii includes the demographic most willing to try what one would imagine the series to be if it were to be made for current systems. It's a known IP, has potential, fits the market and has a lot of room for new ideas.
