Braid creator hates Nintendo
Braid might be released on PSN, but not on Wii, due to not enough space in the fridge.

Okay Leo has spoken. I have now all the data I need. I shall start writing my proposal very soon.
Yeah I definately agree with what angry_beaver and phantom_leo say on the site redesign thing. This place needs forums to make it easier to post in topics of interest.
Anyway the Capcom vs. Tat game looks very cool but my doubts in it being released outside of Japan coupled with news that there will be a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 makes me much more interested in the latter game.
You should read the blog and comments. There's a lot there. I disagree in that I find that IGN/gamespot/kotaku do have their certain looks.
We do want forums and that's coming for the future. The whole point of this place is that if you dont want to talk about anime you can talk about whatever you want, just raise the subject or ask a question. We all just bring any random stuff that bugs us to bear. For instance I was pissed at capcom shafting the wii and we all talked about it. I raised the subject. But if you never say anything how can anyone respond?
If you check daily I don't really understand how its hard to follow. I can understand yarcoffin, once a week visit, but daily reading and you can't follow?
I agree with you on all of the organisation stuff of course. I really think you should read the blog, did you see my mockups?
Leo, that's why we're talking about scrapping this feature entirely and having forums. Simple as.![Happy](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-smile.gif)
Fine, if forums are in then, good.
The newspaper mock-up, then...
One headline should be fine, then subsections on the front page like: Nintendo News. XBox 24/7/365. The PlayStation Panel. Portable Place. Otaku Korner. Something like that.
The panels should be in the same place daily. With the biggest news story on top.
Putting some kind of randomizer in that swaps the news link for each of the subsections would be wise.
Oh! How can I forget. One of the other subsection panels should definitely be: Retro Round-Up... Or something.
One main headline block on top. 6 smaller panels comprising the bottom 2/3 rds of the page should be easy enough to do. No?

Thanks for the feedback Leo. I shall make a new blog about the a new idea. I think I can make something we all agree on! The name will likely be the Gaming Planet and our content will be news collecting, hence the newspaper design.
I don't think "Gaming Planet" will work well as a site name. I just did a quick google search and there already are a number of sites using it.
Damnit the whole system is falling apart!
They shall all be destroyed.
The New Games Times
or
The New Geek Times (in the New York Times font)...
or
The Geek Street Journal
or
The Game Geeks Journal (in the Wall Street Journal font)...
or
The Daily Gamer (in the Daily Planet or Daily Bugle font)...
How about the Gaming Reporter?
I think we want to steer clear of using anything to do with my username. We want to get participation to a max. So for instance I would love for you to handle a retro section Phantom.
I think this site needs to be modeled after pornstargals.
Very easy to find what you're looking for there.
