I've only played two Ubisoft games this gen: Red Steel and Far Cry Vengence. Both were rentals. I enjoyed RS when it came out, but it had a TON of problems; Far Cry was an effing bad joke. All-in-all, Ubisoft is far worse this gen than last. Hopefully, they'll bring out something good with RS2.

i am kinda hopeful about red steel 2, and rabbids go home.  i love the current gen POP game even if just for the way it looks.  i think far cry 2 is also quite possibly a very good game and i'm hoping to get to play it at some point.  i really don't care much for strategy shooters so the GRAWs and the Rainbow Sixes are lost on me.  i hated the first assassin's creed but i'm still open to the sequel.

last generation i definitely enjoyed BGaE and XIII.  rayman 3 was disappointing (compared to the great escape) and i couldn't really get into splinter cell.  i liked the prince of persia trilogy a good bit, especially sands of time.

overall i don't think they have, or ever did have as much quality as capcom.  i think capcom have much stronger IPs

Never was into any of their games before but I have gotten into GRAW and I totally loved Assassin's Creed and the sequel is an insta-buy for me right now. As I never really played any of their games before I can't really gauge how they've progressed but at least they caught my attention this gen so for that I think they're doing pretty good.

Get Beyond Good and Evil now on GC and play it via wii.

I played the first couple hours of Beyond Good & Evil, and I honestly don't see what the hype is with that game. I was bored within an hour. It's a very pretty game (last gen), but the gameplay was basic at best.

Yeah but $10 is $10 and this is the time when too many games come out but not enough money so every penny counts now.

i thought the gameplay in beyond good and evil though maybe nothing special was a nice mix of adventure, cataloging,  stealth and racing (albeit on hovercrafts).  i liked the world, especially some nice touches like the reggae rhinos at the hovercraft-upgrade garage, and i thought the music was great and had some incredibly catchy tunes

I don't know. Nothing from Ubisoft interested me this gen, to be frank. Only game I played was that new Prince of Persia game, and I was disappointed by it. Which sucks because I really enjoyed Sands of Time and Two Thrones. I even liked Warrior Within. The new one just didn't hook me. Very repetitive, too much collecting, etc.

I also have that TMNT Reshelled game, but I only got it because it was free.

I guess Ubisoft hasn't interested me with anything this gen so far. I didn't even care for Assassin's Creed or the sequel.

The only game I think I'll like is the Rainbow Six Vegas games. I may pick them up and see if I like them or not.

Ahh, now to talk about Ubi.

I'm not so much happy with Ubisoft this gen. Mainly because they're practically a 360-centric developer now, and I'm stuck with either lesser versions of their games, or waiting for ports of their games. And even then, the product that they're delivering was nowhere near as good as the last generation.

Games like Assassins Creed, which had great promise, were okay, but quickly became repetitive and just uninteresting, as well literally turning into a slideshow for me. The fact that they've killed Rayman makes me weep. And let's not get started on their Wii and DS stuff..

Though it's not all bad, games like Red Steel 2 show some improvement over the current slate of crap they keep shoveling for the Wii, Splinter Cell Conviction looks like it's worth the wait, Ass Creed 2 also looks like it'd be the game we should've gotten the first time around.

You may be the only one to have actually admitted to liking Warrior Within.

...

I didn't mind it either.

It wasn't THAT bad of a game. Sure, the whole emo/goth atmosphere was a turn off, and it was a little broken, but I honestly didn't mind it.

Was it drastically worse than the Two Thrones? That was quite fun (but frustrating) and the story and everything else was so bad it was hilarious.

I hit a few brick walls in two thrones. Those two bosses post chariot race, stupid save system screwed me and saved when I had one notch of life.

And this stupid room and turning bloody cranks about.

Darth is right they are practically a 360 developer these days.

Now what company should we ask about next? I think Aspro did a SEGA one.
