Wow, I just got a Double 100-Pin Strike on the 100-Pin Bowling game!

can you still hit the switch like you could in wii sports? (i'm not saying that's how you did it Nyaa )

I have no idea if there's a switch in this game; I'm certain I didn't hit any switch. I just rolled the ball into the center pin, and they all fell down; "Strike!" I rolled the ball again, and they all fell down again; "Double Strike!" I was was very surprised! Grinning

I really wish we could save replays in this game or at least take a pic like in Animal Crossing.

I really think it has to do with using my SD card, then switching to the Wii to play WSR.  We'll see.

Travo update your wii firmware, that is the problem. Japan had the same problem. When you move your sports resort save file to SD card it also effs things up.

This game has the Nintendo touch all over it: cool gameplay, secrets galore, tongue in cheek jokes.  This game keeps going higher on my favorites list each time I play it.  I saw some fruit in archery, but I simply cannot reach it yet.  If any of you guys hit them , let me know how many points they are.

My wife and I have gotten pretty competitive in archery and table tennis.  So addictive.

No online modes piss me off.  This could be the ultimate online game from Nintendo.  WHY, NINTENDO, WHY??!!!

Wii firmware upgrade 4.1 hits North America

If you were looking for your Wii firmware 4.1 upgrade, you have to look no further. The upgrade is now available for those in North America to download. It may even be in Europe right now, but if not, I would expect it to hit very soon. Something tells me that this has to do with the upgrade that hit Japan shortly after the Wii Sports Resort bug was found. I think Nintendo is doing a little bug prevention! Thanks to all that sent this in.

This is the bug that makes you watch that opening video forever.

Ah, yes. I downloaded that update right before I picked up the game. I'm very glad I did that then. Happy

Damn, I have found nearly all of the info icons in the Island Flyover game, but I can't find the last three. I've spent an nearly hour yesterday, and another 15 minutes today looking for them. Damn you, Nintendo! Where did you hide 'em? Sad

I almost get this one today, but I thought better, so I bought some tacos and saved myself 60 bucks. I'll still get it, though, as soon as my wife gets back with my kids from vacation.

Yeah, I flew over and around all of the islands. I did manage to find two of the three missing icons today. One was a boat hidden behind one of the smaller islands, and the other was out in the open ocean. Only one icon left to find now. Happy

I notice you get different icons during different parts of the day.  Have you found Miguel, the guy flying in the plane?  He has an icon as well.   If you can't find him then fire a flare.  He'll fire one back.

Yes! I finally found the last icon! It was the Seaplane Team. I flew around with them for several minutes until time ran out, which was really cool. Happy

Thanks for the Miguel tip, travo. While I already had Miguel's icon , your suggestion made me try the Night level again, and that's how I found the Seaplane Team.

Yeah, I found them earlier.  That would have been a cool game, flying with that group.

I've spent so much time flying all over Wuhu Island that no matter what event I'm playing now, I can tell exactly you where on Wuhu Island I am.

It's also neat how stuff I've unlocked in certain game modes shows up in other games. For instance, in the Flyover game, you can unlock a special graphic that's put on the blimp; when I was playing Sword Fighting last night, I happened to look into the distance during a replay, and I could see that same blimp with the graphic that I unlocked floating by. It's a neat little detail that makes you feel like you're really part of this small island community rather than it just being a bunch of random mini-games, and I think that's pretty damn cool. Happy
