Enormous bill is enormous.
Note: I may still have to buy another $180 book on top of this. lol

Enormous book is also enormous.

Well it's 2 books bundled together, but the black one is the size of at least two normal textbooks stacked. Too lazy to do a real comparison.

My god.

Thankfully, I'm an arts student, so we don't need expensive books...but I find them useless.

can't you normally buy used textbooks?  hope you can at least sell them on at the end of your course.  or are you saving them as reference books?

Yes you can buy used textbooks but normally you need the current edition (which changes every year) or all the assigned question numbers, etc will not match. Plus I think they don't start selling used books until a week later and my teacher was already yelling at people today who hadn't read the first 2 chapters (80 pages) by today and it was only the second class.

When you sell used textbooks you'll probably only get 10% of the original value, so I dunno for me it's better just to keep them... even though all the drawers in my room are beginning to fill with notes and textbooks.

If nothing else I'll have a big professional bookshelf at some point.

If I end up working for some established company I'll probably never look at them again, but if I happen to start my own business or something it could be a somewhat valuable resource.
