Howdy kids! I'm drunk tonight. Well not quite yet, but I do assure you I'm working on it.  At the moment I'm drinking Ole Nassau Gold Rum, a surprisingly decent bottle of Rum given it's price. Very sweet, slight hints of vanilla in there I think.  Anyway it brings me to tonight's question..... For those of you who drink (and really everyone should), what's your drink/cocktail of choice?

If given the choice it's tequila every time for me. But it has to be done right. Nothing cheap and it must be accompanied with Sangrita. Otherwise you're just missing out on the whole experience.  Assuming all of that's not available, gin and tonic preferrably with Bulldog gin or Bombay Safire.

Due to the medicine I'm taking, I can't enjoy the taste of beer, so no alcohol for me tonight.  Usually, I just like beer, Heinekin especially.   I can't stand most domestics....ugh!  Not much of a liquur drinker, Robio.

Normally I'm not a fan of domestics either, but I will admit to enjoying several of Sam Adams brews. And living in Texas as long as I did, I developed a taste for Sheiner Bock.

Almost any beer, as long as it's not stale. I prefer hops over malts. Microbrews if I can find them. Most of the time I just settle for VB, since that's the best of the worst choices I have available to me.

I also can't get my favorite sodas where I live either, so I just settle for Pepsi Max.

I don't drink wine anymore, as most of it has either fish or dairy in it. I don't drink spirits either, just not my taste.

If I could drink diet passionfruit soda endlessly, that'd probably be my choice.

Foolz got it right.  There's simply no comparison.  Tastes the best, and is good for you and you can't live without it.

I gave up the booze after my accident and only recently started having the odd beer when I go out in order to be sociable.  Since quitting I find that I can no longer tolerate lager (fosters, heineken, stella, amstel, carling, carlsberg etc) - it tastes toxic ... probably is.  I like Belgian trappist beer like Chimay.  Leffe is also nice, especially the red brew.  My favourites though are real ales - casked.  Abbot ale, London Pride, Spitfire, Duchars etc - really good stuff.

I used to really like single malt whiskey and good bourbon like Maker's Mark but I no longer have any hard liquor.

Resent all alco-pops and mixed drinks

part 2

I prefer red wine to white as white tastes very acidic but i no longer drink wine really.

I don't drink any soda/soft drinks.  I hate sugar and sugar is all i can taste when that filth touches my tongue.

Love tea and drink it a lot.  English breakfast tea, earl grey and darjiling are all good.  Herbal is also nice.

Didn't used to like coffee until recently but I have since developed a taste for it.  I like a good cup now and again.  Dunkin Donuts is my favourite ready-made coffee but sadly only you lucky guys in the US can find it readily.

Just remembered ... US guys stop trash-talking american beer.  There's a lot that's good.  Yuengling, blue moon, sam addams, sierra nevada - even bud is pretty good for what it is.  Miller too
