Lol, most of these names are Dutch.

Weterschelde, Terneuzen, Sneek, Texel, Assen, Deventer, Meppel, etc. These are all Dutch towns. It looks like someone droped a bomb on Holland and spread it all over Europe. Heck Europe is totally messed up, why is meppel across the Adriatic sea? I did not realise Meppel was in the Balkans! Laughing And who is the joker that sank Scandinavia?!

I will say this again, I played the demo and was blown away. Anyone who enjoyed FE and wanted more control of the action, this is the game for you. I will be trying this game out hopefully soon.

I loved the demo, and the game looks stunning.

Valkyria Chronicles isn't my kind of game, but you did a fantastic job on this thread, Leo. It's like an explosion of information. Happy

Excellent thread creation skills as usual Leo. Anyway I love the graphical look of this game plus I played and thoroughly enjoyed many of those "if you loved these games" games so this definately sounds like a game for me.

Man, both you and I need to rally on some weird bank robbing rampage throughout the continent in order to buy our PS3s ASAP.

It would be an awesome tale of drunken misdemeanor, public exposure of private parts and Mercyful Fate music blasting through our stolen car's speakers.

Indeed. The funny thing is I've already done the drunken misdemeanor thing, the public exposure of private parts thing, and of course the blasting of Mercyful Fate's music thing. No stolen car thing though, unless you count the taking my parent's car out for a joy ride though. LOL

Just played the prologue...

Wow! The pencil-sketch graphics on a HD TV are retina-searing, razor-sharp BEAUTIFUL ! ! !

[It has that Ah-Ha "Take On Me" look to it, but with full color and a colored-pencil effect to it... Wow!]

The music, an appropriate Wartime March, is inspiring and sets the mood PERFECTLY ! ! !

[You KNOW and FEEL like you are about to go to war and it instills a sense of Patriotism in you before the game even begins!]

The game may look anime-like, but there's nothing "cartoon" about the violence.

[Within minutes of the game starting, innocent villagers are attacked and shot, blood flies and soldiers die!]

The gameplay itself LOOKS just like the cutscene graphics and the careful balancing of moving, taking action and conserving Action Points, so as to be able to counter attack during the enemies turn, makes the battlefield action scenes clever and engaging!

I hope people give this game a chance; it is truly something special. Unique games like this one are few and far between, so you really HAVE TO support them when they come out, lest they disappear!

[I'll post more impressions later!]

Leo, you do not have much experience with anime, right?

Watch this A-W-E-S-O-M-E Launch Trailer ! ! !

If this doesn't stir some sort of Gamers Call to Arms for ya',

then you might as well stop playing games RIGHT now!

Briggite "Rosie" Stark Trailer

Rosie is a former Cabaret Girl turned Gung-Ho Soldier.

Translation: She can kick ass AND has a great singing voice.

Can Marcus Fenix say the same?!? Nyaa

[EVERY game needs one of HER in them from this point onwards!]

Yeah. Ummm. Ever watch Urotsukidoji?

I have.

The impressions Valkyria gives is that it's gonna be all squeaky-clean, romance on the battlefield, fluffy...

Tell that to the old woman whose worldly possesions are blow up by a grenade a few seconds before she is gunned down in the first few minutes of the game!

I'm just saying the pastel colors and friendly looking characters DO NOT convey [at first] the grim reality of war contained within!

Watch the Launch Trailer!

Been playing a shitload of this game the whole week. Almost 30 hours in, about to start Ch. 11, been playing a lot of skirmishes to level up my classes and do R&D, and not rushing through the game like I've done in the past.

Heh, I know. It's a sin to leave such a portentous game unfinished, unplayed for extended periods of time. I'm seeing it through, no matter how long it takes, probably a good 20 hours more, by the looks of it.

Does it have New Game or something like that?
