OK, this sentence has me intrigued, 'cause it turns out those are my favourite kinds of games. I've not popped in much since platinuming Watch Dogs a couple of weeks ago, and after watching all six seasons of Numb3rs on Netflix I need to play stuff again. I've been on the fence about Destiny. But you may have pushed me off of it. I'll report back soon.

Well, since I'm here, kudos to Iga_Bobovic for finishing Link's Awakening. Could be my favourite game of all-time, but that might be the nostalgia talking. Loved the DX version, too.

What I love about that is the instrinsic knowledge needed of Gamespot/ EGM.
Beat the campaigns for both Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops 2. Both of them combined didn't take me as long as Destiny to finish.

Great game, the best campaign of the franchise. And the new take on Zombies with alien type creatures is fun. 8.5 rating.
Updated with Hyrule Warriors. Met and exceeded all of my expectations (not that they were super high). Really makes me either want to play another Zelda game or a Warriors/Muso game. At any rate, it's a must play for Zelda fans, or even kinda Zelda fans who just like the theme song.

^Yes, very much so. And the arc of that game is -unlike any other I have seen-.
No wonder Molynuex packed it in after that.
The stuff they did not change, the Fable stuff, was top shelf, but holy crap they left everything else to the B-team.
Just updated with Torneko's Great Adventure: Mysterious Dungeon. I'm so glad there are fan translations out there. So many good games were left behind in Japan and never seen in the west. It does make me wonder if we'll ever some fan translations for newer games some time in the future. They don't seem to be nearly as easy to recode as 8 and 16 bit games, and that makes me think we won't see it happen.
Finished Steam World Dig. What an excellent game, so good! Could not stop playing.
Finished Mario Kart 8. I really hate mirror courses, but I did it!
I finished up Lone Survivor: Director's Cut. Good game. Not quite what I expected it (my idea of where the game should have gone was better), but still worth playing. Basically consider this a 2-D version of Silent Hill.
Just finished Dead Space 3, a good game but about three chapters too long. It got into a part where it looked like Isaac Clarke stepped of Dead Space and right into a Halo set piece. The final boss was cool, too easy, but with an awesome death.
Though it's overlong, I still rank it second behind the original. It did have more of a survival horror focus compared to DS 2. The only problem is after three games, the scares are practically telegraphed to you ahead of time. The formula is just too predictable.
And finished game #30 of the year goes to Halo Reach!

Dragon Age II finished brings me up to 40. Now I should try to get back to playing PC games. I have a new PC built, I play Burial at Sea - Episode 2, then barely play anything on it for weeks. I rarely have it on for more than a few minutes.

Just beat World At War.
Its funny playing this now, as it feels like even more of a relic from the past than it already did when it first came out. I remember being kind of annoyed that they were going back to the whole WW2 thing after Modern Warfare, though playing it now isn't so bad after allthe WW2 era games have died down a lot over the years. Gameplay is typical COD though.....set pieces, random grenades, chaos, you name it. These WW2 era COD's though, because of the weapon sets they feel a lot more sluggish than the Modern Warfare/Black Ops games. I definitely prefer the more futuristic setting.
Zombies is the star of this game by far, which is why its become the series staple. SP is average and multi-player while great, like I said I prefer the modern day COD games for that.
