Funimation has a lot of great content, but they are hella slow at upgrading their site and services.

I wonder if they'll keep in the nude scenes from the anime? devil

Thanks.

Last night was terrible, Crunchyroll wouldn't work. Sad

Yeah, CR has had some issues for me lately too. Those DDoS assholes shut it down for a day, and they've been having site issues ever since. Argh!

Funimation gets all the content distributed by Manga UK, so because of that all the series Manga UK wants to release on DVD are not availible to us on funimation - and that wipes out most of the site so they wont even let us access the site at all.

For some reason Netflix UK has a lot of these series, so I may go with that. Now Crunchyroll is on Wii U I might try a paid subscription.

So, saw 6 episodes of Kill la Kill.

Pretty good, very anime though. What I mean by that is that you have to love anime to get the appeal I think.

Love the best friend and her family reminds me of My Neighbor the Yamadas. The art style looks different from the majority of anime series which I appreciate, it almost looks western. And there isn't much shading which can make it look very flat.

I tend to like series with a lot of story exposition and this has bits of that and some promise but feels like it's riding by the seat of its pants alot throwing alot into the action scenes. Sadly for me I think they have only released 9 episodes so far here. Are there many more?

There are 24 episodes of Kill la Kill, GG. The story really starts to get more in depth once Nui (my avatar) shows up in episode 11.

Finsihed Kill la Kill. I was alright. Nowhere near the awesomeness of Tengen Toppa Gurrenn Lagann. No where near!

9 episodes into Kill La Kill.

I'm kinda not feeling the love. I like and it's entertaining enough but the non-stop challenges and fights are getting a bit monotonous like there isn't much point to it all. I need more story.

Also, I think if you love this series you might probably like  Bleach, although that series takes a while to get going, the first season is a virtual washout.

*sigh* been trying to add all the series Raven suggested on CRoll and no luck. Everything but Parasyte the Maxim is missing in the UK. Sad

So I have been exposed to US Government advertising on CRoll, quite eye opening. I have seen adverts about saving money, spending time with kids and about stopping forest fires. Very Truman Show-esque.

The govt advertises a lot!

Tried the Crunchyroll Wii U app, pretty great. Not sure I want to pay for it when I get the free version. I could go netflix.

Gurrenn Lagann is indeed awesome. That being said, Kill la Kill > Gurrenn Lagann, ya silly robot. Nyaa

More stoy is coming, GG. There is a reason for all of these fights. You may or may not like the whole story, though, as it is a bat-shit crazy storyline. I won't deny that Kill la Kill has a very niche appeal. Gurrann Lagann might be more suited for your tastes, as it does have a more detailed story early on, while still being completely bat-shit crazy. Guess it all depends on how much bat-shit you can handle. Nyaa

Speaking of Jojo, does Crunchy Roll have the Japanese censorship?? It seemed so much worse than in the first season. I remember some decent gore in season 1. In Stardust Crusaders sometimes half the screen was black with shading to hide gore. Hrm

This was hilarious, though:

So, I just watched the first 3 episodes of Dog & Scissors.

Crunchyroll said:

About the Show

One day, Harumi Kazuhito was killed in a robbery. However, his fascination with books allowed him to miraculously come back to life - as a dachshund dog. As he lamented his loss of ability to read books, before him appeared a sadistic woman, Natsuno Kirihime, who used scissors as a lethal weapon. But, not only can she hear Kazuhito's thoughts as a dog - she also happens to be a novelist he was a huge fan of. What is to become of this dog's life?

So is it good? Ah . . . not really, but it is very entertaining! Recommended if you are bored, and want something very silly to watch, lol.
