Finished Dead Rising 4. It's a good game but can be pretty glitchy sometimes. The story is ok but nothing all that memorable. Lots of fun weapons to make and kill hordes of zombies in a number of cool ways. There's an absolute ton of zombies that can be onscreen at any given time. It's quite enjoyable killing them to Christmas tunes and the setting of the game is nice with the whole Christmas motif. The game lacks any interesting boss encounters though like the previous games had which is disappointing. 7.5 out of 10.
2. Beat Metal Gear Solid - 7/10
Had to do it for gameclub, otherwise I really have no desire to ever go back to this one. I like Solid Snake the best of the MGS main characters, and I like this cast of villains and the overall plotline in all its anime stupidity over what the sequels do sans MGS3. But it's not that good of a game. It's good, but it's fairly sloppy in a lot of ways. It's place as a stealth game is almost laughable, given how little of a stealth game it is after a certain point. Especially in a year that had the original Thief and even Tenchu. But that's Metal Gear Solid for you. Still love that soundtrack though.
Just completed my first beaten game - Osman. A couple years ago 1-Up put Osman on their "100 Games Before You Die" list. It's pretty much an action porn arcade game by the guys who made Strider. This is their spiritual sequel after they left Capcom. Never found its way to any kind of home release. Very similar to the Strider arcade game, but this time its set in a neo-Arabian setting. Basically if Dubai becomes neo-Toykyo from Akira you get this game. ANd boy oh boy is it out there. The action itself is pretty insane. It's more button mashing, and using the hell out of your special attack. I never really felt like I found a rhythm or technique that made me unstoppable. Still the setting is pretty damn cool and it was an interesting over-the-top experience.
3. The Banner Saga - 7/10
God damn it, now I gotta play the sequel.
4. Bit Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend and Rhythm Alien - 5/10
Game is mad unsatisfying.

I really enjoyed the first Bit.Trip Runner, but boy the sequel sure was missing something. I got a few levels in and just couldn't force myself to play more.
Finished Super Mario Run. Pretty fun game. A pretty decent game that is a bit short and straightforward but can get a little intense trying to perfect your runs and getting those coloured coins. Building your own kingdom is a cool touch. Looks decent enough as well. 7 out of 10.
I played Contra so much back in the day and got so good at it that I can play through it over and over without ever having to continue. I eventually just have to turn it off or purposely lose all my lives.

Best I could do was beat it without using the Konami Code, provided that my best friend was not playing with me. That bastard sucked at the game and then would always steal my lives after he ran out of his own.
Yeah I had those life stealing friends too.
"What the hell game over? I only died once!"
The SNES classic ActRaiser has been added to my beaten game list. If there's ever a formula that needs to be brought back, this is it. Still can't believe how badly Enix fucked up the sequel. Oh well, even as a one-and-done series it's damn good. I'm thinking about starting Enix's other god games from the era - Soul Blazer, Illusion of Time/Gaia, and Terrenigma. I've only played Illusion of Gaia, so maybe it's time to try the others out.
I remember being amazed at how awesome ActRaiser was. I knew nothing about it before I played it, other than that it sounded like a cool game. Ended up being one of my best memories of the generation.
It's still pretty good. Little easier than I remembered, but it was a good weekend play.
I finished Battlefield Bad Company 2......oh yeah can you FEEL it?!
Hyper Light Drifter: One of the few games where the ultimate boss is hard than the penultimate boss.
Finished Uncharted 3.
I didn't start Uncharted 4 yet, I started Psychonauts.
