Just made a new level I'm rather proud of After making a couple of levels about walljumps, I figured I'd make a level with no jumping at all. Not really an auto runner, but all you need to do is run.

I got it and tried it for 7 minutes. So far it sucks as much as any other 2D mario game (excluding the mario land series).
Should have known that making shitty 2d mario games sucks more than actually playing them.
That's the "7 minutes in impression" folks, look forward to deeper analysis at a further date.
Also, Why hasn't Nintendo Made Super Mario Shotgun? I thin kthat would be a great improvement.

You really should have got Splatoon inste... Oh wait!
Yeah, it's fun for a few minutes at a time, playing some of the levels of people you know. Unless you're like Vader or Leo, who'd spend hours creating their levels, I just don't see there being enough value to it to be charged full price for. The content unlock system also irks me more than I'd have thought. How long do I need to play this before I can make anything other than SMB and NSMB levels?
If I could access a level of a friend that required less security inputs than what my bank requires of my password to transfer tens of thousands of dollars, then I would derive pleasure from this game.
The whole code system shows how ignorant (my greatest insult) Nintendo is of everything on Earth.
If they did not have their head planted directly up their own ass, they would have a YouTube like ranking system where it was easy to share levels with friends, see popular levels etc...
Other companies that do this for a living (oh say, Steam, MS, Sony - their god damn competitors) have this shit down cold.
Meanwhile, Nintendo still thinks we are unlocking the Nuclear Arsenal of the United States of America everytime we want to try to play a user-created level.
If it helps any, you only have to enter one code. Once you find the first level, you can 'heart' that person and all his levels will show up in some menu somewhere.

Ummm, not long at all. How long have you played? Two minutes?

Longer than you played Splatoon, that's for sure
I just unlocked the castle set. I think I'e put a couple of hours in. Made a few levels, played most of you guys'...
I tried to get back into this, I can't. I tried a few friend levels but that is it. Trying to find quilting levels without doing research on the web is impossible. It's so disappointing. Also the whole no tying levels together thing is dumb, Mario is about level progression, not individual levels.

I really don't know how common quilting levels are in Mario games. I cannot think of a single duvet based level.
Regardless, you should have got Splatoon instead.
I have recently felt no urge at all to play this game. But in fairness, I haven't felt any urge to play any other game either so that may not be saying much.
Ninty, tried 3 of your levels, left a comment on 1. Thromps music was too hard for me. Good job man.
I've played a bit more and it's a bit better. I will try your levels AC. It's such a clusterfuck to get the levels into the Wii U to play.
Yeah, the menu's are a bloody mess. But if you've entered one code by a designer, you can 'heart' him and all his levels will show up. Be sure to share yours too. Unless you're going to be making crap gimmicky levels, in that case, keep them to yourself.

I can assure you I will make no levels.
I will get to your levels next week I promise.

I can assure you that you will be so in awe of my masterfull level design that you will feel inspired , nee, compulsed to start creating levels of your own.
And to be fair that's as much a failure on Nintendo as it is the general rule of thumb: Birds fly, fish swim, and video game players have atrocious taste when it comes to their own beloved medium. They needed to make more options, they needed to make categories so you could actually be very specific with what your level is. Shit a description box might help as well, a more robust search engine. All of which requires Nintendo to come within the vaccinity of a human being who has a fucking clue.
I'm with you on a lot of this games levels being doo-doo, but fucking procedurrally generated levels as the alternative. At least Mario Maker can just fit into the minecraft/community game type thing. Not necessarily my cup of tea as the game is mostly a dick around game.
