Well today I had an interview for a mobile ultrasound job and it was perfect. I am exactly what the company is looking for and I know I can do the job. They want someone that can be flexible in their schedule, no wife, no kids, someone that can be free to leave at any time and that is me. Not only would I be going to offices in south florida but I will also be flying all over the US. I have not left the state of Florida (in the US, I have been all over the Caribbean) , I have always wanted to see my country.

If I do get the job it will be a huge change obviously, most of the time i will be in Florida but I will have weeks where I travel. I have been on a plane once in my life, so it will be pretty fresh experience for me. Now that I maybe traveling all of a sudden portable gaming becomes hugely important. I wont be lugging my PS3 around with me, so do I need a PSP. I will get a 3DS for sure but I think I PSP would be nice as well. My problem with portables is that I never had a use for the portable aspect, it was just a different system. Things to think about. Nyaa

Anyway I am very excited, I seem to be the perfect candidate. But as Yoda's blog once said he had the perfect interview and didn't get the job. Whatever happens it was nice to actually have a damn interview, I have not been able to get through the evil HR department front desk at hospitals. Now to celebrate I will go out, get drunk, have a one night stand with some chick... nah I am a super dork, I will celebrate by playing one of my new favorite games. Happy

Don't get ahead of yourself Vade.  I hope it comes through.  Mostly so you'll buy a PSP and have to eat crow.  No j/k, hope you get it (the job).

Thank you guys,  as always you are all awesome. Aspro, at this point I dont have a job, I just had a good interview and for me thats something to be positive about. Even if it doesn't happen, I will be fine, its shown me to be more confident.

There's nothing better for a job interview than having some swagger. Employers are a lot like women in that they'll give you exactly what you want if you're confident enough to act like you really don't care. Anyway here's to you handling old man scrotum again in the near future!

Yeah, confidence is key in handling an interview.

Sounds like a cool job too.

The best is that it wont have anything to do with balls.

Funny you say that cause my advisor that really got this whole thing set up straight up told me that getting a job is like getting a woman, you have to see it the same way.

Be like Fedor, don't give a fuck and go there to enjoy yourself. That is what I always do. Especially if you talk to one of those HR girls, especially if they are attractive.

And the strange things is that people really seem to like me, they say I am interested and ethousiastic. I am not sure what the hell they are smoking, I sound like a robot with no emotions and a dash of murderous intent.

Also I often get late for interviews, but they don't seem to mind, for I usually have to come from far and can't find the way. I always blame the public transportation.

Now let me give you few tips from my experience from doing multiple job interviews.

Golden Tip 1)

Lie as a motherfucker, telling the truth will get you nowhere!

Don't lie about facts they can check, but if they ask how much did you get paid before. Lie, they will misuse your honesty and give you as little as possible. If they ask about your weaknesses make it so that they are also positives. Like I work hard, but once set in motion it is difficult for me to stop.

Golden Tip 2)

Don't roll over and give in.

If something is not right negotiate about it. Do not let them know you are desperate for the job, they will take advantage. Play hardball and wait for their reply, you can always back down if you know they will not give in. But try it first, nothing ventured nothing gained.

Golden Tip 3)

Know your rights and do not be affraid to use them

Let someone who knows stuff about contract check it out. Be sure to check what kind of contract it is. Is it for a year, a permanent one and is there a test period? Know how they can sack you and how you can give your resignation if things do not work out. Also check if working overtime will get you paid extra. Again experience teaches that if not, they will abuse you like a crack whore. Also check if you get a bonus when travelling, you will make extra costs, so a living allowance is fair. Finally know how many free days you have.

LOL I have them now!

To be fair I dont think the question of "are you married" ever came up, he did ask directly if I had kids or pets.

Edit: I should read better it says family questions and he did basically ask that.

We're all behind you, our brother in failed attempts at employment.  Persevere!  And if they don't hire you, sue them for discrimination for asking about your kids!

My school is the one that set up the interview and they have heard from the employer that its down to me and another candidate and they are leaning towards me. Now I sit back and wait... or find out who this other person is and destroy their credibility. Nyaa
