Listen to Iced Earth and play Doom
But they actually came up with quite a few games I didn't have so I picked up the PS3 version last night (it was only $27). I now have something like 14 copies of Sonic the hedgehog playable on 7-9 different platforms.
Remember also that Retro Game Challenge is available starting today (in US). Picked up that as well.
gamingeek quotes and says:_________________________________________Just speaking about titles I've downloaded and played recentely on VC
Beyond Oasis
I was disappointed in this is game. This is no LTTP. Leo and Dvader owe me money.
Comix Zone
This game is fucking rock hard impossible unless you have cheat codes (anyone want an invicibility cheat? I have one)
Ecco the Dolphin........ I liked at the time but it kinda sucks to be honest.
E-SWAT
I was sooooooooo looking forward to this, downloaded it, was sort of enjoying it when its character movement, difficulty and finnicky things brought the whole experience down. Playing a game like this makes me want to side with Punk when he berates the Genesis library compared to SNES.
Golden Axe I
For the memories it's okay.
Golden Axe II
So then I got this and it suuuuuuuuuuuucks. It's identical, what a wast and GA3 is worse.
Kid Chameleon
I used to love this, not sure if I should download or not.
Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master
I downloaded this as someone here, either raven or punk kept telling me how great it was. It's.............. okay.
Sonic the Hedgehog
I need to get one of these. Which one is best?
Streets of Rage
Cool, fuck yeah. Me and my bro used to play this together and then did again!
Streets of Rage 2
Wow, graphically stomps on SOR1 and great gameplay to boot although character movement is like walking through mud.
Streets of Rage 3 I want, but how similar is it to the first two?
- Altered Beast (Arcade)
I never played the arcade game. Better?_________________________________________

Ehhhhhhh. I only played the first level. But I wanted Shadow Dancer and my white wolf.
I used to own Sonic 2. Loved it. Wondering about the later games though too.
Dvader said:OMG this Golden Axe Zelda clone is literally a Zelda clone. It uses the same map, it rearrages some of the paths and such but the general layout is identical to Zelda, its hilarious. Its got moblins but instead of being blue they are green. The main character looks identical to the Dragon Quest hero. I cant wait to see a dungeon or what items you get.
What are you talking about?

It was Sega's answer to the original Legend of Zelda on NES, Golden Axe Warrior.
Although, personally, I don't see much of a resemblence, as Golden Axe Warrior is clearly the better looking of the two...
In an alternate timeline... Sega then went on the produce The Adventures of Axe Battler, Golden Axe Warrior: A Flare to the Past, Golden Axe Warrior: The Oboe of Temperance and, most recently, Golden Axe Warrior: Twilight of Gilius, each one garnering more critical praise than the last!
Ravenprose said:I owned a copy of Golden Axe Warrior back in the day, and it was an awesome Zelda clone. That being said, I actually like Golden Axe Warrior a lot more than I liked Zelda 1.
Get on the next podcast so I can yell at you.
Its fun, its a crappy clone but I love playing it.
bugsonglass said:i also have sonic mega collection and sega genesis collection for ps2 so i don't know which games i'm actually missing out of this, but it is an awesome collection of games indeed. perhaps it needs a bit more wonder boy though
Oh snap your right, where is Wonder Boy???
I have the PS2 collection as well but Streets of Rage trilogy was enough to get me to get this one, plus it has many more games, and looks better. (and trophies, muahahaha.)
