DISCLAIMER: The thread title was obviously a joke just to get your attention!

But seriously though, I know we criticize Sega and their Sonic games all the time, but what if they're latest "brilliant, ingenuis, and original" game, Sonic All-Star Racing turns out to be a fantastic kart racer?

Would you guys give it a chance and play it, or would you feel embarrassed to even look at it? Or would you guys criticize it on these forums but secretly play it at home when no one is looking?

That's what I'd probably do. Come on these boards and rip Sega apart for making crap like this but secretly enjoy the game in my room!

The point is, what if that the game turns out great, maybe even better than Mario Kart Wii, and gets rave reviews?

The graphics look pretty good though.

Before you guys do this the good news is this game is developed by Sumo Digital, the same dudes who did the modern Outrun games. They're pretty good with racing so this Sega All-Stars Racing game may be really good!

I'm willing to give it a chance and play it. You just won't know about it!

Could it be better than Mario Kart Wii? It could be, maybe just the Wii version, since a lot of core gamers were disappointed with Mario Kart Wii because they felt it was dumbed down. Sonic Racing may be less accessible for casuals and the graphics will definitely be better. And no friend codes!
