The only reason Monster Hunter 3U wasn't my game of the year was because I couldn't quite justify an enhanced version of a game that had only been released a few years earlier. But man oh man, all the extra polish, the slight adjustments, and extra weapons they included made a world of a difference. Monster Hunter Tri was a good enough game, but it never clicked with me. MH3U on the other hand..... well it kept me around for over 110 hours. And really the only reason I stopped playing was that I forced myself in order to finally try some other games. It was challenging, but never felt unfair. Monsters behave almost like real animals. It's all amazing, and despite being as far in as the series is, it's amazing we don't have more clones (in the West).
So you're basically saying it wasn't all that great? I think I put in double that on Tri

Heh heh, I really had to pry myself away from it. I had Persona 4 and a few other games that were hanging over my head and begging to be played. I'm anticipating a dry spell in another couple months, and once that hits I'm going back to it.

I couldn't justify getting 3U after having played so much of Tri, no matter how much content they added. I am looking forward to MH4 on the 3DS though.
Yeah, I agree. It's a matter of time before the U gets an Ultimate version. I've been thinking of just holding out to see if that's how things will turn out.
Real nice man.....I want to make a list, but there are so many major games I have not played yet that I don't feel like I should.
Monster Hunter. I thought that was a game that consumes ones life so much so that you can't play anything else? Doesn;t seem like you;d have the time for that.

Well it's not like I knocked out the game in a week. I pretty much played that and not much else from February to April. I interrupted things a little bit with Injustice for about 4 days when that came out, and I took another short break to mix in a little Persona 4. Also Monster Hunter is very good in presenting itself in hour blocks, so it's actually very easy for someone to play who has to manage their time.

I forgot about your Injustice period.
Had I done a Top Twenty, Steamworld prolly would have made it; I have yet to play Rayman. I gave up on Monster Hunter too easily this time around, thinking there would be other things I would play on the U. Little did I know...
Awesome job on the list, though! Like the pics!
I will probably get to those games later this year. I rarely play the big games at release because they drop in price pretty quickly. Plus I'm just not the biggest GTA fan so it takes a lot of incentive to get me to play them. I still haven't gotten around to any of the GTA IV games yet.
