It can be beaten faster, it has less areas to get through but larger sized ones. If you learn how to get through those sections quickly you can finish the game rather fast.
that sounds pretty good. the first time i played RE4 it took me over 25 hrs to finish as i was so awestruck that i was taking my sweet time to make sure i enjoyed everything. subsequent playthroughs were around 15 hours. this will be great if it's about the same as that
How much longer do I have to go Dvader? I'm at the section with cover.
The way I play this game and RE4 is I walk around and investigate all rooms and break all crates and look in all cuboards. So maybe the game takes longer for me to play through.

WTF? 25 hrs?
Did you forget to turn the machine off and leave it running while you went to work?
I dont think you will be awestruck in RE5 at all so factor that in.
I my sweet time on RE4 and it was still only something like 12-16 hours. Not sure exactly.
Dvader said:The first part with the cover, you are almost to the end. 4 more subchapters to go. I would say 2 - 3 hours, maybe longer if you get stuck at a boss or two.
Aw man.
I hope they eventually make a game where Wesker becomes the anti-hero and you can play as him with all his Matrix like powers.

They will. But it'll be on-rails.

It already happened with Umbrella Chronicles.

Umm, but they forgot the Matrix-like powers.

He has them, he was jumping all over the place. If enemies actually shot at him he would have dodged it. I dont get why he needed a gun as he could have crushed any enemy he fought. He is super powerful and super fast even in UC.
gamingeek said:So who is this busty russian babe and will that woman unmask herself at some point? Is it Jill? Wait dont answer that.
What have you been doing the last two days, you should have beaten the game by now.

True, I forgot about them because he WAS on rails so there was really nothing awesome about it at all.
Right, I played some more. Had to operate these moving platforms whilst I or Sheva travelled on them. Now I'm at the third licker part, went up these scaffolding things and was fine but right at the end like 50 lickers came towards me and I was trapped. Trial and error BS. I will just buy some grenade rounds and come prepared tonight.
gamingeek said:BTW I dont like the shop in this game. Or the weapon choices. The weapons dont seem to have any personality and its not that easy to compare stats between them. Then the game drops machine guns on you like candy and its not worth switching as the sales price of the gun you've been upgrading for 10 hours is in the dumps.
Agreed, there are more guns but less distinction between them. It's not like RE4 where each gun had a purpose. But no gun is as freaking cool as the hydra.

Welcome to hell, its the section I described above. I predict a night of cursing at the screen for you. It is the hardest room in the game, its the part that drove me mad. It's probably the section where the AI is the most useless, well this room and the very next one. Don't get so frustrated that you dont want to play anymore, if you are stuck just ask. There are methods to get by.
i got by. I was fine but Sheva died 7 times even when i buying her grenade launchers she never uses..... gah.
The wesker fight was useless, i just ran around 4 seven minutes. Then this.... interesting bit to yank out the thing. Now im on the boat. Y didn't u know who come with?
