I might purchase a PS4 at launch it all depends on the price and what games are available.
I'm interested in Killzone Shadow Fall, inFAMOUS Second Son, DriveClub, and Knack. If those games are at launch I will purchase it at launch.
Oh! How could I forget to mention:
- Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten
- Ni No Kuni
There's hundreds of hours worth of gameplay there. You won't be needing a PS4 if you are to play even half of those!
Oh and Ni No Kuni <3<3<3

So you're a hater.
Rochard is a Sony Exclusive and so far it's a lot better than I remember. It's somewhat of a Metroid-Vania game, but you are neither a Metro-Sexual Vampire Hunter, nor a hot chick in a Bounty Hunter suit. You're a fat miner named Rochard. Your mining team discovers some kind of ruin while searching for rare ore and is attacked by Space Rogues. Your weapon is a Gravity Gun you can use to lift, place and propel objects, at least at first. You eventually earn the ability to manipulate gravity and get a Rock Blaster (Gun). There's a lot of puzzles in each room; there are some gates Bio-matter can't pass through (humans) and some gates Objects or Enemy Fire can't pass through. The skillful use of your gravity gun to get passed these gates, throw objects at your enemies, reflect shots back at them or manipulate the world around you all comes in to play. I'm only about an hour in, but so far I like what I've seen! I will hopefully finish this one tomorrow!
For some reason, many reviews and previews of Rochard liken it to Shadow Complex. I can see it in the way they are both exclusive, Metroid-Vania like games for PS3 and Xbox, respectively. They have a few ideas in common, but the themes are very different. Shadow Complex is a much more "serious" game too.
Call me crazy, but I think the humor in Rochard may actually be a knock AGAINST Shadow Complex. I believe the developers either expected the comparisons to Shadow Complex or heard about them in early previews. The humor in Rochard is SPECIFICALLY a knock against Orson Scott Card, the controversial, anti-gay Writer of SC.
ALL of the Space Police in the game speak with WAY OVER THE TOP, EXAGGERATED "Gay" accents, for lack of better word. They walk around talking about their need for a "Pedicure." They scream for their "Momma" when they die, or just yell "WhatEVER!"
I can't see any other reason for them to act this way, unless the devs of Rochard are just making fun of gay people... I don't know whether I should applaud their mocking of Card, or be offended!
Very interesting. I guess only they could answer that question though
I thought you didn't play Shadow Complex because of OSC, Leo...or was that Bugsie?
I wasn't going to, but I broke down and did.
Rochard --MUST-- be mocking Shadow Complex and Card, though, there's no other (non-offensive) explanation.
Finished Rochard, and it was a fun, short but sweet, PSN exclusive.
So far, pleased with PSN.
On to Machinarium!
I will say I played my share of Text Adventures back in the day, but I've played VERY few Point and Click titles like Machinarium. I'm both exicted by the idea and intimidated by it. I guess you could put The Walking Dead in the same category, but the puzzles in Machinarium seem to be much more brain-bending than TellTale's game! We'll see if I see this one through to the end or not!

It's one of those games that won't set the world on fire, but it's hard to find anything wrong with it either. What it does it does very well, and it gives you juuuuuust enough of it so you can employ all the different skills you learn, but it doesn't overstay its welcome. Good, fun, bite-sized game. You can probably beat it in around 6.5 hours. Great for a weekend!

Walking Dead had puzzles?
I'm terrible at text adventures, or at least Zork; that's the only one I ever tried. Never got into point-n-click adventures either, unless 999 counts. I kinda want to try Maniac Mansion; a friend of mine loved that game back in the late 80's on C64.

That was me. I refuse to buy it. I have trouble knowingly putting money into the pockets of people who are against basic people's rights. I have probably done a lot worse against my knowledge. For example the guy who wrote/writes most Dragon Quest music is a Nanking massacre denier. I refused to buy any DQ games after I found out but I'd already bought a good few. I'm sure there are plenty like him I've given money to but at least it wasn't in my knowledge.
For reasons I will not go into again, 2011 was not a good year for me and the PS3. It got to the point where I was so turned off, I gave my system away in early November! With the announcement of the PS4 and my own reaction to it, that being some good and some bad, I have decided to delve into a PS3 campaign to ultimately decide whether or not I am going to plunk the money down for a 4 or not. Those who believe I buy everything may be surprised to know I --DID NOT-- buy a PSOne and a PS3 at launch, nor did I EVER buy a Playstation Portable!
In truth, I wasn't floored by most of what I saw at the Conference, but I liked some of the ideas presented. A streaming Virtual Console of all past PS games sounds great in practice and was the thing that picqued my interest the most. That being said, do I care enough about Sony's past games for it to be a reason to buy the console? Only one way to find out! I have either re-downloaded or purchased a good sampling of games I gave up on or was interested in, in the last year and a half and have decided that IF I complete a good percentage of these games, and can rekindle some interest in the Sony brand, I will get a PS4. These games are:

Yes, I do know that some of these are not PS exclusives, but they are on Playstation Network and represent a GREAT cross-sampling of what Sony generally offers. They also represent some of the greatest hits Sony has had over their several generations of systems. In this topic, should the campaign go well, I will update my progress with these games and give my general thoughts on my excitement towards PS4!
