Because why would anyone want a new Dino Crisis in the style of Resident Evil 4 in a setting where that style of play would probably make even more sense than in Resident Evil?

Lost Planet was OK at the time...not really anything mind blowing. Capcom has so many better franchises IMO but I guess the guys in charge now don't care for games they didn't invent unless they're called Resident Evil and Street Fighter.
