The landscapes are incredible. I like that its arty, the mountaints and forests. I mean if it were a next gen game there would be some shaders in there that would look more unnatural, sometimes plastic like.

The snow landscapes are huuuuuge and beautiful. I just wish there was more to the game, imagine if this was an epic action RPG for instance? I get the feeling there will be a lot of empty wandering between fights.

the hub town thingy in a strange sort of way reminds me of the bar in star wars.  shadow of the colossus had some empty wandering ... i don't think it's a deal breaker, in fact it could even work as a build up so it's certainly no deal breaker.  right about now this game is looking pretty good to me, i don't know about you guys

Is it just you me and Foolz that have commented on this trailer??

I agree, I get the Star Wars hive of scum and villainy vibe, so does 1up.

Amazing trailer. But after watching those initial sequences now I want an RPG that looks like that.

It's what FF13 should have looked like.

No one can make a full on 40 hr RPG that looks like that though. Not unless they have 4-5 years to spare and a zillion dollars. Or a lot of padding.

Talking about cgi quality. If you click on the trailer link and check out MH3 trailer 1 you'll see the village area looks very similar.

I will only get this game if I have the chance to play with you guys. If Nintendo is going to fuck things up like they are accustomed to and make it pay to play or restrict online play like the first EO then I won't even bother.

Yeah it's Capcom that have it as Pay to Play in Japan. But so far no Western version of the Monster Hunter games have had online fees I hear.

I will get it regardless (assuming its good) and might pay for the occasional month. Maybe we could sync up if others do the same, pay for the same month and play together. I hope its free, I have a feeling that this is suppossed to be the big western coming out party for the franchise so I think it will be free and Capcom wont want to hurt its chances.

What do you guys think of the screens?

This game looks great and it's pretty much a definite purchase for me. Hopefully it'll be free but if not I'll still at least try it out to see if it's worth paying for.

likewise i think even if it has a fee, the first month or so will probably be with the game purchase, and i think if i play the game for as long as a whole month then i will already have got my money's worth
