No, I don't have Kinect and as far as I know, Kinect integration isn't available.
Nope! No Kinect required. In fact, I didn't even notice ANY Kinect options.
I was going to start my own Minecraft journal; something along the lines of:
"I dig the earth with my bare hands, desperately trying to find materials to complete my furnace before sundown. These lands are wild and untamed. I see the remains of an unfortunate adventurer seemingly ravaged by wolves. A sign reads 'Warning: Zombies Spotted After Dark!'"
"I build my furnace and gather enough wood to turn to charcoal and a stick for a torch, just as the sun sets. 'This is going to be close' I think to myself as I hear a groan behind me. 'What's that?!' are the last words I utter before I die..."
I saw you running around my world Steel. Unfortunately, I was too busy being killed by Zombies to acknowledge you being there!

Minecraft has split-screen now?
Listen to Iced Earth and play Doom

Minecraft has split-screen now?
Yeah, up to four player local co-op.
What an incredibly addicting and creative game!
I don't know if all areas start off like mine, or it's just the 'Seed' word I put in at the start, but I was presented with a near-barren snow-scape with TWO trees and LOTS of hills! Just the very act of SURVIVING long enough to get my first home built was a challenge! I could only find so much wood to build a liveable structure, let alone enough wood and wool to make a BED. If you can't sleep the night away, you're GOING to die! Nothing sucks more than dying before you can get your house and bed built then trying to FIND your home and territory again when you have so little habitable land to start with! Talk about a needle in a haystack! Then finding stone and building your furnace...
Finally got to the point where I built my home right next to a stone mine. I have a set of stone tools. I have fended off two hairy nights of skeleton, zombie and spider attacks using my trusty stone sword. One of those hissing, explodie things nearly took me and my home out in one shot, but I was able to fill in the crater he created with dirt and killed a few pigs to eat some pork chops to restore my health!
Little by little I am transforming the world around me. I am levelling off a hill top where my larger home will be built. I am planting shrubs everywhere to grow as many trees as possible... Where there used to be a snowy mountain, there's now a tree-filled mesa. Off in the distance there's actually a floating island in the sky, I am going to eventually HAVE TO explore!
I can TRULY say I've never played a game quite like this one before!
I will invite some of you in once I have the place a little more organized and have room enough to sleep four!
Looking forward to it, Leo. I am finding the game incredibly addicting as well.
I read reviews and impressions back when it was just the pc version, and now again of the 360 version but I still haven't got a clue of what the game is about or what it plays like. Most people seem to really love it though
**Yeah... I just spent about 2.5 hours gathering materials for and building guest accommodations, complete with beds, torches and glass windows.**
You and three of your guests are invited to stay at the luxorious Castle Leostone. Castle Leostone has Four Single bed suites. It is a hop, skip and a jump to the beach and the mountains, and ample lighting is sure to keep those troublesome Zombies and Skeletons away! Visit the historic WaChaLeo cobblestone mines, or marvel at the mysterious floating Leosgard Island! Spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Observe nature as Pigs, Cows and Sheep frolic free! Dine on succulent Pork Chops! Smelt your metals or craft your items at the conveniently located wood-plank cabin where the city founder, Phantom_Leo, began construction on this one-of-a-kind mountain get-away resort! Visit your Xbox Live dashboard to make arrangements for your stay! Act quickly, as exploding Creepers may end this offer at any time!
I'm amazed at what I've done with this game already! Coming from a guy who doesn't usually take to make your own game, games, the fact that I've built a little shack of my own, a tiny castle, a wall surrounding my living area and a REALLY cool surprise someone will spot when they come to visit me... for --ME-- to be hooked enough to do all this... WOW! This game is --THAT-- good! I'm utterly, helplessly addicted!
Granted, it's not the elaborate, detailed Storm's End castle or the Castle at the College of Winterhold... You probably won't ever find 8-bit recreations in my game either... but for me to have four walls and a roof... it's A LOT more than I've ever done before!
Finally started exploring a bit of my measly world (no seed used), after building a small cobblestone house and fumbling my way through the basics. Walked off a bit until I found a small hill with a dark entrance on one side. I peeked in to be greeted my 3 or 4 skeletons, only to find out a small cave inside.
That's a work table and oven I carry to be able to work on the go. The cave has only iron ore, but I'm working my way digging tunnels and so far i've found two more caves.
Well, I feel stupid. As much as you think you know in this game, there's a billion little tricks that you just may not think of. For example, I never even thought to bring my workbench WITH me! (Duh!) I also didn't realize that you can place a torch at the TOP of a block so it stands straight up. I always have just affixed it to a wall. That will help my little Castle be even more protected!
"ONLY has Iron Ore" he says... !
Do you know how hard it is to find Iron Ore in MY world?!
Picked up this one today. Been having a blast jumping up and down with my daughters via the nifty local co-op.
