BTW Travo, I just spent a half hour racing against your Mii's French doppleganger. Strangest damn thing to keep going into the lobby and seeing you and then realizing, "oh wait a minute... that's Henri."

Enough cannot be said about the incredible music.  I've enjoyed watching the end credits just to listen to the jazzy music.  "It's the Tonight Show with Mario!"

I think I have one true complaint with Mario Kart 8. I really miss having my collection of Mii's show up on the sides of the racing track. I alway liked racing by and going, "oh look there's President Obama, Ron Jeremy, and Madonna." I wonder why that was taken out. Even just having a level or two with them would have been cool.

Ready to race tonight?  I took a break last night, but in ready again.   Nintendo would be insane not to release new tracks via dlc.

I may race later tonight, but right now I'm trying to write my cover letter and track down the info of any PR rep that'll talk to me. Of course I'm procrastinating by hanging around here, so I'll probably procrastinate more later with Mario Kart.

I really miss the fake item block.  And being able to drag an item while having another one in stock.  There's much less strategic subtlety to the game because of those 2 omissions.

Whoa that's bad.  I always tried to drag a banana or shell behind me to protect my ass and to have another in store.  Hmm, that doesn't sound good.  The fake box was fun as well when perfectly placed

Guys, I received my game (more than three weeks after dispatch).  It also came with a keyring.  Mine was a bullet-bill.  Did y'all get a key ring?  Now I will see if I can get it registered so I can get Monster Hunter for free

You can still drag items, you just can't collect any other ones while doing so.  And if you're seriously considering Monster Hunter, I still have to get a free game, might as well be Monster Hunter.  We could co-op it, if you're ok with playing it like once a week or so.

I still miss Double Dash's two characters per kart, thus two items per player. Sad

Once a week, or whenever sounds awesome.  That's about as often as I got to play videogames in recent months.  I have to get MH because I have bought any other decent ones out of that selection

Oh damn, I'd forgotten about the fake block. Yeah that was a fun item. I would have traded that in for the boomerang, which I still find completely useless.

Yeah the boomerang is useless unless you are directly behind someone.  How do you drag items?  I need she'll shields.

In previous versions it used to be that you kept the throw button (shoulder button) pressed down.  It's probably the same in this one.

I just got the game today and I haven't even put the disc in the console yet.  So absolutely zero experience here whatsoever

Wow...remind me to never use the bikes again until I can learn to control them better.  Got to play with Travo(even though I had to chase him from one lobby to another) Leo, and Robio was in one of my games I think.  I did as well as I thought I would...which was terrible.

Sorry, I was having issues and had to cut out.  That's why I went to another lobby and joined another friend. I tried joining you earlier and couldn't.
