Ok I get it LKS is really freaking awesome. But answer me this, say I have enough money to buy a strategy game, I still don't have Valkyria Chronicles which got the same level of praise. Which one do I go after. VC had a demo, I got to try it, I really enjoyed the demo so I am already more likely to buy that one just cause I had hands on time.

I wish it was as simple as saying, hey this game got great reviews let me buy it as you guys make it out to seem.

Valkyria Chronicles you are a small faction stuck in a war between larger faction.

In LKS well......

Religion

Verde is not the only irritating character you'll meet in Little King's Story. There's also a weird religious type, unamusingly called Kampbell of the Sect of Soup. Early on in the game he wanders up to you and asks, "Do you believe in God?" before demanding you spend 44,000 Bol on building him a church. "God will punish you if you don't!" says Kampbell. "And if God doesn't punish you, I will!"

Genocide

Then there's Hoswer. For the first hour or so he encourages you to follow a pretty simple plan - get more money, build more houses. But after you've defeated the first boss, he presents you with a new idea: genocide. That's right, Howser says, you must cross over the river where the Onii creatures live. "Beat all the Onii on that side and dominate the world," he commands.

Kampbell throws his opinion in, too: "God says you must punish all the enemies who get in your way!" There's no option to ignore Howser's demands or question what the Onii did in the first place to warrant their wanton destruction, or to just have a nice sit down instead.

Who would you want to play as victim or a Conqueror?

You seem to mistake me for someone who cares about the story. Nyaa

I am reading the IGN review now ok sounds really cool. It really is Pikmin isnt it, I just assumed it was like it not that it was exactly like it. At least it has a bunch of sim city like stuff to it as well, and a huge open world and stuff. Sounds great, will get at some point.

No story man, you have to exterminate them in gameplay. Don't let the cutesy graphics fool you this game is dark.

LOL HD would be nice so it doesnt look like total ass on my TV.

Yes using any of the above licences will get my attention, but the game has to be good (which is why I have not bought a SW game in forever, not that FU wasn't good, I want great). But a game in a franchise I love automatically moves up the list in my most wanted games. I'm loyal as long as they continue to make the games I fell in love with. New IPs have to work to get my attention, if I really enjoy the first one then it can join my favorites list. With so little money I rather stick with what I know I enjoy than experiment.

LOL, whenever I see Force Unleashed abbreviated as FU I can't help but laugh. In all seriousness you are the guy that third parties have to work out how to sell to. Phantom Leo is what I would rate as a 5 in the gamer nerd/whore test. Wii needs to connect with the mainstream gamers more, the 7 and aboves. So what would you make you plunk down cash on day one for a 3rd party original?

I would say Little Kings Story (yeah big suprise). Here are my reasons:

1. You need something to play on your Wii, right?

2. Third party games need to sell on the system

3. It's awesome and has awesome reviews

4. You can talk about it with the rest of us eventually

5. There is a barking cow

"Will get at some point" is a coded response for "please stop bothering me, if perchance I should stumble upon it in a bargain bin at some unspecified point in the future, perhaps I will get it, just to shut you up. But chances are I wont. Fuck you!"

I see! LOL

I might get it. What was the game about again? The abridged, lazy bastard version, please. Too lazy to read reviews.

You play as a little pimp, in a cape with a staff to beat people if they disobey you. You wander the land with your whores, taking over the world. You must own it.

this is not to change your mind.  i understand you prioritise your gaming budget the way you see most fit to satisfy your gaming needs as best as possible but this isn't just any team that made this game, so it's not exactly out of nowhere the developers portfolios include stuff like Harvest Moon, No More Heroes, Final Fantasy XII and Super Mario RPG and more.  good stuff.

Leo has money, I dont, there is the difference. If I had money I would buy everything.

Yes the Wii needs more mainstream titles but again my theory is they screwed themselves with the hardware, now they get stuff like lightgun games and everything but the major third party big budget game. Which again I am fine with, Wii is the type of system I will be buying games out of the bargin bin for years and enjoying them, its not the system with the games that make me salivate and want right now, unless its made by Nintendo cause they are the only ones making those GOTY award winning games on the Wii (or were the ones...)

As for your reasons, needing something to play on my Wii is not a reason, I dont care where I play. If I dont use my Wii for a year oh well I am not going to feel bad for it. I cant do something for the sake of sales, so #2 is another bad reason. #3 is the main reason to get it by far. #4 also plays a part, believe me, not being a part of a something can influence you. Like right now I see everyone playing Demon Souls on the PS3 and I feel left out. I want to buy it to see what the fuss is about. When you guys are all playing this game and loving it I will feel left out. #5, can I shoot it? Can I shoot anything. Nyaa

And yes I totally plan to get this game for under $20 one day.

This is cool from the Telegraph review:

Make no mistake, that candy-coated exterior masks a tough game of epic grandeur. Several hours in, you realise that everything you had been doing -expanding your kingdom and training your citizens- had just been practice. The world map opens up to reveal a gigantic expanse stretching out from your serene little settlement; craggy mountains and deep valleys beyond your borders. And it’s all for the conquering. Seven Kings rule over the seven Kingdom’s of the world and you must unite the world under Alpolko’s banner.

Oh man, this from the IGN review:

This is a huge RPG and it takes a while for it to show its' full hand. By five hours in, you've only just unlocked the full map, let alone even begun to seek out the other rival kingdoms. Then there's your harem of conquered princesses, housed in a Princesses Quarters, perpetually eating cake like little Marie Antoinettes. Yes, the Little King is a polygamist. This game has it all. Grinning

Very possibly the Wii's longest adventure - and certainly one of the most varied. So many side-quests, hidden areas, collectables, characters, classes and things to do. A boon for RPG fans, so buy it.

You have nowhere near the class or grace of Leo. You are like a fart in the wind compared to him. He is Viggo!

ANOTHER TRIPLE AAA LITTLE KINGS STORY REVIEW

http://wii.nintendolife.com/reviews/2009/04/little_kings_story_wii

Conclusion

Little King’s Story is a gem in the Wii’s catalogue; full of charm, style and addictive gameplay, it deserves to sell much more than New Play Control! Pikmin 2, coincidentally released on the same day. With a fantastic script and localisation, greater variety in the tasks involved and dozens of moments that will bring a beaming smile to your face, Little King’s Story outdoes Miyamoto’s garden game on every level. The King is dead – long live the King!

9/10

Fuck you Vader the Bin Raider! LOL It rhymes.

Your AAA reviews bounce off me. Reading that above I bet that Pikmin 2 will outsell it... sad.

I noticed that.  Well here is one scenario, Punch-Out sucks so I pass. But then Batman comes out and that looks incredible, but if that sucks then I pass on that. Still Infamous comes out which is a game I have been following for a while, oh but there is also Prototype which is similar, so one of those two games are probably really good. But if they both suck THEN I'dd get LKS. Oh wait only if I cant find Valkyria Chronicles, THEN I get LKS.

So I still might get it June. Nyaa

What do you mean by sucks? Lets say that it gets slightly worse reviews that LKS or the same reviews. I get the feeling these days that it doesn't matter how good a third party Wii game is. That article was right, its gamers fault that Chinatown wars and Madworld aren't selling, not soccer moms. You see those threads saying mature games or whatever dont sell because its a casual system blah blah. No, it's because the gamers who own the machine aren't even buying the games worth owning.

Are you going to get Bayonetta on day 1? I bet you're thinking about it right? Tell me I'm wrong. WTH is so appealing about punchout?
