Yes, the pacing was great.  Because of that, it's probably the most consistently fun Zelda that we've seen...in ages.

what was the last zelda that threw 10+ dungeons at you in a span of 15 hours?

Finished the game yesterday. Wow at the final battle, just wow. Why the hell did they wait until the final battle to make an awesome boss battle?? Why? Did not 100% it, I was missing some stuff. Like the big treasure chest in the dark dungeon and the bug net. After reading a walkthrough, I finally figured out to get that treasure chest in the dark dungeon. I would have never gotten it otherwise. What an obscure puzzle. The bug net, I am ashamed that I never figured it out. For gods sake the dude has a bee suit! Well at least I found the pegasus boots on my own. Will play some more before giving my judgment of the game. I will tell you this, it is the best paced Zelda game is years. Nintendo please stop putting helpers in 3D Zelda games. They slown down the pace.

I 100% with no guide cause I am awesome.

You basically copied my post about the final boss, I totally agree. This is the pacing all Zelda games need from now on.

Thank you for hereby proving my incredibly implicit point, that maybe 3D zelda games are just a bit more cinematic and 'sloppier' by nature?  I can enjoy both a well-crafted 2D effort and a fullscale 3D zelda game, but I don't think one should rule out the other.

Say you wanted to play the dungeons in the right order, is there anyway of telling what order that might be?

There is no order whatsoever.  You could look up what dungeon holds what items and could let the order be dependent on that, but the game is easy enough for you to not really require any upgrades at all.

I started Hero mode and have died 5 times in the first dungeon. This is the way the game should be from the start.  I assume it gets easier as I get more hearts and potions.

Surely there must be a final dungeon though? With the big boss?

The final dungeon opens up after you complete the other ones.

3 hearts run and no potion run! Do it!!!

Or do the difficult dungeons like the ice dungeon first. That will really ruin your day!

Skyward Swords Hero mode was worse. There were no hearts what so ever in that game. Every hit you took meant something!

It was still easy, plus you just had to run to chairs to heal up. A few bottles in a dungeon and you were set. This with the penalty for death seems tougher, and 2D Zelda has always been harder than 3D Zelda.

Hey I thought I 100% the game, but then I found a fifth bottle!!! With no help of any guide. Wait, how do I know there is no 6th bottle?!

*checks faq

Nope 5 it is. I now have officially 100% this game.

Hero mode is brutally though. In lorule, one hit of a cyclops and I am death!!! And the punishment of death is quite high here. But unlike Skyward Sword you can regain your hearts more easily. Still hard though. Will do the order of dungeons differently than last time.

Okay, first of all NOT TROLLING.

I've never beaten a zelda game. Have most of them (all but Skyward).  The closest I got to beating one was OoT, and teh Wind Waker DS one.

I've heard that this is Zelda-Lite. The new Zelda, Zelda taking a new path. As in, Like any normal gamer will be able to beat it --  and given it's GOTY consideration -- I've been thinking strongly about it. Like, paying Australian-sexual-assault-prices.

Am I in a Sonic-cycle, or could a normal gamer actually beat this without much attention?

I definitely beat it without paying much attention.  Then again, I don't know if I classify as a 'normal gamer'.

It's not a very demanding game, in so far that everything is rather compact and streamlined.  There's only one area that's a bit tricky becaues it involves a lot of platforming.

It also has the hint system to help if you get stuck.

And all Zelda games have gamesfaq available if you are stuck. Aspro, do not buy it. It is still Zelda. Sure you can do the dungeons in any order you want and items are handled differently, but there are still dungeons and puzzles. If you hated the previous Zelda's move on.
