What the fuck does AAA mean anyway?

To me its always meant a 9+ game.

That was and should be the definition. Now it usually means it is a big budget tentpole title.

Yeah you can have a 9/10 puzzle game and it'll never be described as AAA. It's just a big budget title.

AAA = Ridiculously high budget that can single handedly bankrupt a dev/publisher if it fails to met to ridiculously high sales expectations

In all my years at Gamespot, AAA always meant a game with a score of 90 or above.

That is the gamer definition of AAA but video game companies go by the definition that the game is produced with a really huge budget and produced by the top team at the company.

The Star Fox developers was mainly a joint effort between EAD and Argonaut Software. After Star Fox 64 Argonaut went to work for Sony but the Star Fox team at Argonaut left to form Q Games. Q Games made Star Fox Command and Star Fox 64 3D.

EAD and Miyamoto had a hand in the development but Argonaut Software also created it.

They were responsible for the Mode 7 stuff in the SNES Star Fox title.

Yeah I know about the snes game but for some reason I got the impression that Nintendo did most of the 64 game.
