As far as NSMB Wii, I've been hyped for it ever since E3, and I've had it pre-ordered at Amazon for several weeks now. I'm equally excited for both Mario games.
I'm still pissed.
Taking NSMB success on DS and making it for Wii is an easy way out for Nintendo. Like making an obvious sequel to Wii Sports. I want them to make the tough choices.

What?! You have Yoshi, penguin suit, ice flower, helicopter suit, complex and hard levels according to previews, map with multiple routes and secrets, mini games on the map. The only thing missing is a flying power-up. How the hell is this like SMB1?
I played NSMB on the toilet last night as I was stuck........ on PW3.
The game doesn't hold up. The 3-D characters on bland 2-D presentation, the over-run and slight slide to mario when you want him to stop. The retro back to the original vibe. They shouldn't be trying to make something retro, instead making the proper next mario sequel in 2-D.
i will admit that i am a little negatively predisposed towards NSMBWii but it's not because of the delay caused to Galaxy 2.
will be very happy and buy it gladly if it turns out a great game

According to IGN, everything is rendered in 3D. No 2D backgrounds. I'm actually looking forward to that.

IGN also say its ugly in the podcast
It comes out in a few weeks and looks to be awesome. Admit it, you're excited for a new Mario, even if it's not the one you were looking for.
