I swear I have read this before.
Sweet impressions but I cant wait to hear more. The Okami thing is interesting, I have been reading what you said about the story. I agree that its Zelda lite in terms of gameplay, when people say they like Okami more than TP I feel like they are aliens from another planet. (I do LOVE Okami though)
BTW when you get LKS are you going to make sweet love to it. You better after all the hype you have given it. I expect to see the home porn video up later.
I played some No More Heroes today. I had enough money to pay for the next assasination mission, but I blew it on clothes and a new sword. Damn. Had to mow grass and do 2 assassination jobs to get money. I also explored the overworld. Wow N64 style graphics .
Found the Thunder Ryu gym. Wow those mini games are funny, exercising by moving the wii-mote or jamming the buttons. You actually get tired during some of them . Still needed some monies, so I did what Archie did. Started looking for money in dumpsters. Found some shirts too.
Edit: Oh snap I forgot to mention the assasination part. The Shinobu level was awesome. Seeing Travis electrified running around the level was priceless. Shinobu is a bitch though. She can kill you with a single strike. I liked the fact that is you do a perfect dodge, the game goes Matrix one you. Besides the cheap killing move the boss battle was awesome! After 4-5 tries I finally beat her. She's not dead yet, though.
Little King's Story: still not received this one . I will send them a mail.

Yep Enjoy.
BTW you should be collecting the orange ball things on your map to trade to the guy in the bar for new moves. Get the move where you whomp the nunchuk and his does this jumping strike move. It's badass and you will need it on later levels (hope you are playing on hard).

Of course I am playing on hard. I am not Foolz. I have already collected quite a few balls. Wow read some gamesfaqs, the combat is deeper than I thought. The matrix thingy is the dark step. Ah it makes sense now!
Okay now I will have to play with mah HapticMaster and Airbrush. See you guys later. Today I play MadWorld!
bugsonglass said:about LKS not arriving yet, they'll tell you to wait until 4 weeks have passed since they told you it was shipped and then let them know if you still haven't received it. if that is the case they'll send you a replacement without questions asked but chances are you'll get it very soon
I just received my mail from blahDVD, you are right about the 4 weeks thing. oh well I have enough games to play already. Speaking of which
MadWorld: played the second level. The one with death press and man darts. This level was more arena like. There we many times I had many enemies together, but I lacked the means to kill them all with one giant attack (for example exploding barrels). There is really lots of high scoring opportunities. Lot's of chainsaw traps and caution signs too. I really need to explore this level to get a better understanding were everything is.
Playing No More Heroes is really messing with my MadWorld game though. There is no blocking here, but sometimes I keep standing there thinking I will not get hit. I died a few times here, especially against one of the bull guys. My chainsaw keep failing me. I forgot that I had to rev it up. Damn
I did badly against the rollerskating cowboy thing. I missed all the QTE's oppurtunities. The ending was funny though. Shouting him until a skeleton remains.
The next part was the motorcycle race. This one was a bit simple. Again did badly here. You need to wait until the enemy is standing on a car before you can grab him. The rest of the time you need to get the fuck away. I am standing there swinging my nunchuck like a retard. Of course he is not grabbing anything, there is nothing in its reach. Stupid QTE arrow, don't show when there is nothing yet. Also weird that you can destroy cars by crashing into them. Jack's motorcycle is probably made of the same material as the original Game Boy
Von Twillerkiller was a pain in the butt for me. I really need to learn how to dodge attacks, shake the nunchuck dammit. And perhaps use the lock-on more. I did kill him eventually. Asia Town is next. The story is picking up too. Awesome.
No More Heroes: Did some side missions today. Picking up trash was kind of fun. Another assasination mission I finished. Just rushed to the target and kept hitting him. Nice, then I kept looking for the Lokov's balls or something. Found quite a few. Plus lot's of T-Shirt in the dumpsters. I felt like a hobo. Like GG suggested I learned some new moves. The first one I learned was the jump attack GG suggested. The other ones are another jump attack, a dash attack and increase time of dark step.
I am getting the better at dark stepping and increasing the power of my finishing moves. Nice! Still suck at the one hit and you are dead missions. But at least I am improving, dark stepped quite a few of them.
Did another assassination missions, and had enough money to pay for the next ranked battle. I payed the fee, checked out my hobo shirts and saved. Tomorrow Destroy man will get his crotch laser amputated. Perpare to die!
Little King's Story get! What a charming game!
Played some more No More Heroes and MadWorld. Beat the Ninja level in MadWorld, that level was fun. You can cook people .
Getting the hand of avoiding damage. I did not get hit a lot by the Shogun boss. The game is definitely getting more and more fun.
No More Heroes, well the Beach level is annoying, stupid mines. Holly Summers is also annoying. Stupid rocket attack and falling in holes. I will beat her tomorrow!
This morning while I was getting ready to go to the university, I saw my mobile was low on juice. So while it was charging I tried to fight Holly again. This time it went much better! Once you know how to beat ther, she is surprisingly easy. She hardly touched me!
at her death scene
Well got to go now, HapticMasters do not program themselves you know!

Holly is one annoying biyatch. You definetly need the jump move for this level. This way you can knock down the gun guys in one move then press A over their bodies to dispose of them cleanly.
Played some more No More Heroes! I have the Tsubaki MK-II beam katana now (the one with four blades). This thing is powerful, it make the free fight missions a whole lot easier. Did some assasination missions and jobs to get money for the 5th rank battle.
Also found all the Lovikov balls and did some training with Thunder Ryu. How do you guys do the bench press mini game (the one where you have to hit the A button as fast as possible)? I did it by smacking the wiimote on my upperleg. A little painful but it gets the job done. Did the Letz Shake mission. Basically a boring corridor missions. The ending cutscene was nice, but I wanted to fight the guy. Oh well, there is always next time!
MadWorld:
The sumo boss was awesome. Not really hard, but fun to fight. After I beat him I went to the Castle level. This level is awesome. You can impale zombies, slam dunk them, play golf, smack the with a pumpking, make a bloody fountain. My favorite was when I grabbed an explosive zombie near the graveyard and used him to kill zeven at once. Mangolf is also fun, grab them and smash their head through rings. Take that Tiger Woods!
The level is hard though. The grim reaper is a annoying cunt. He always appears when someone grabs me, and after that he is nowhere to be seen! Can you actually hunt him down and kill him, without getting grabbed? Do more than one appear? Because I am positive I killed one!
Bully:
I am finally getting the hang of this game. I know now where things are, and I am finally able to find the missions. No more walking around aimlessly. I found Archie today, he lives behind the school bus! He will teach me hobo fighting techniques in exchange for some radio parts. Also passes my second music class. I think I am really starting to enjoy this game, the beginning was a bit overwhelming.
Yeah in madworld the grim reaper can appear multiple times. You dont have to be grabbed for him to appear so you can charge after him and hack him up. But he isn't hiding anywhere in the game, you cant hunt him down, just wait for him to appear.
Bully is great, so much fun.
Played some more
No More Heroes
Did some side missions and jobs. I said it before and I will say it again, the free fight missions are stupid. Also did a new ranked battle. Sylvia called me to go on a date, what an annoying bitch she is. Travis should cut her in two!
Okay went to the subway, was a bit dissapointed to retrace the same steps I did before. Wait what is this? Disconnect the nunchuck?! OMG Suda you are a genious, a motherfucking shoot em up. Wow! Holy crap, so many bullets, my brains can't process the information fast enough. The boss battle was against the magician dude. Awesome cutscene and awesome battle. Killed him quickly. Can't wait for the next battle.
MadWorld
Fucking hell the Grim Reaper is a fucking cunt. Dammit, keeps killing me. I finally finished the level by moving along and staying away from the main arena. The shamans where also annoying. Somehow I have difficulty doing a horizontal swipe in the power struggle! Killed the cunt by grabbing a explosive barrel and throwing it at him. Than rushing in and killing him with a chainsaw. His death was justice.
The next level was a lot easier. No grim reaper is less deaths. Man Press II was fun, had a seven kill combo there. Frank was fun to fight, his death scene was funny.
The story is getting more and more interesting! Nice!
No More Heroes is a game that I feel with polish and variety could easily be a AAA game.
The actual combat gameplay is probably better than Madworld, but its so unpolished, especially the overworld, lame jobs and repitition (things like that long corridor level) that it hurts the game.
If you want an easy way to beat the castle level in Madworld stick next to those churning spikes and just throw people into it non stop or stay near the fountain and throw people at trees. Also had problems with the gesture recog on the boss before working it out.
It's better to be slow and accurate than fast and slightly off. Make sure you are 100% sure of direction before you make your move and do it very surely. It works.

Agree with you there. The idea of the overworld is brilliant too. One moment you are killing a ranked assassin and the next moment you are collecting coconuts to earn money. The problem with the overworld is the blandness and the size. There is no reason for it to be so big. And if you fail missions, why can't I retry them?!
MadWorld on the otherhand is more polished, but it has bigger camera issues. Why can't I lock-on like Travis? Seriously the lock-on is broken. And why can every enemy block, but you can't? MadWorld beats No More Heroes when it comes to environmental kills though. Seriously if we would combine the arena's, environmental kills and minigames of MadWorld with the characters, main combat and zaniness of No More Heroes we would have a AAAA title for sure!
So far I must say MadWorld is better because it has better focus and high score replayability factor. Can't wait for No More Heroes 2 and hopefully Platinum games will make another Beat-em-up!
aspro73 said:In NMH for the bench press I'd just hold the controller lower and punch the A button arcade style. Are you buying the T-shirts as well?
No, I am finding them in the dumpsters hobo style. T-shirts are way too expensive. My cloths are: black pants, black jacket, white belt and T-shirt with a red devil.
Madworld's lock on works, its just silly that you have to hold down a button for a second to get it to register when you want instant contact.
The overworld in NMH is terrible, N64 like graphics. The vehicle mechanics are awful, there is no weight or finesse behind driving. There is nothing really to do in the city unless you count really mundane jobs like coconut picking. I wish they would ditch the whole concept and just make awesome hack and slash levels with polish and variety. When the game is good, it's GOOD but you have to fight your way through a ton of crap.

Agree with you. No More Heroes has the characters, style and gameplay. If you could match that to the polished levels and environmental kills you would have something special there.
Okay I have seven games (well actually six, but LKS is coming) now! I will post impressions here, so they are all in one place.
This part is copied from GGweekly!
Castlevania 3 - I actually reached the Son of the Dragon (Dracula) for the first time. And he killed me pretty fast. The level itself is really annoying, especially if you die at Dracula, you have to do a whole part of level again. Just let me fight Dracula now dammit, you are only delaying the inevitable. Once set in motion I cannot be stopped.
Eledees - I got this for real cheap. A really nice game, a true showcase of the Wii control. This game would not be possible on any other console. Guys get this game, you can probably find it for cheap. I can't play this game for long though, 2 or 3 levels max. So it's really a game for short session in between other games
de Blob - Wow it just so much fun painting the town. You can see it come to life bit by bit. And the funky music is awesome. Plenty of missions and platforming, but I will save this game for later. Really good
Bully - I have some issue with this game. Why can't I go through all doors? And if I can't why does it not tell me the door is locked or something. The blue lights are also annoying. I can see it's a door, you do not have to put a beacon on it. An why is there so much loading? I watch movie loading, I press start loading, loading, loading. Dammit. But once you play you see it's lot's of fun. You can push people around, take them down and pound them, knee them, etc. I dressed my character in honour of Steelio. So I am walking around in my underpants and a wrestling helmet. Touching ladies and men buttocks. Just like Ballthazar!
Okami - No wonder this game has sold so bad in Japan. The fucked up the story. Because some of you do not know Japanese mythology I will give you a Christian example.
"There was the supreme being that created all. This being was called Joseph. Joseph was killed by the Romans after splitting the Dead Sea. This made the Romans mad, because their ships could not move from one side of the sea to the other. Because it was splitted. So they killed Joseph by cutting of his head with a crucifix. This crucifix is called Moses. But after 5 days he was revived by Judas. Moses had awesome powers, because it has the blood of Joseph. It is said that many conquerors had Moses, but once they lost it, they lost them battle. Some say Hilter started to lose the war, right after he lost Moses"
See the have the names right, but it is all messed up. The game itself is gorgeous, but it plays like a inferior version of Zelda. Still a good game.
No More Heroes - Awesome so far. I like the power-ups, like in one it becomes pixelly and it plays like a 3rd person shooter. Or another one where you can do you finishing move immediately. So much blood flew on the screen, it looked like crimson fireworks.
MadWorld - So awesome, the graphics are badass. The blood is bloody. Finding new ways to kill you opponents is awesome. Killing 4 at once with a bench was so satisfying.
Little King's Story - This game was shipped only a hour after Okami, but I have not yet received it from blahDVD. I think I will write these guys a mail. Man why this game?! Why not Okami!
