Yeah, but most cars are actually designed with front plates in mind. They really look weird without them. Kinda like a human without teeth.

Some get plates with designs airbrushed on it, my parents had one that was a beach theme with their first names.

Today we are getting our car and we will by dryving to the heart of Cajun country, La Fayette.

New Orleans was cool. Not that much to see, but so much more to eat. Po Boys, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Turtle soup, Blue Crab Remoulade and Lobster. All so delicious!

Ok, first part of my road trip is done and I am not dead yet. We visited Laura's plantation, Oak Alley plantation and had some dinner in a cajun restaurant. Tomorrow we shall visit the tabasco factory and another plantation. I highly recommend the Laura plantation, it was really insightful and fun.

Also first time driving with an automatic gear. Seriously it's like an easy mode. Seriously guys, get hardcore and do manual gear shifting!

LOL  My parents both drive an automatic, I know what you mean.  Just keep your left foot in check so you don't hit the wrong pedals when something catches you off guard on the road.  I also don't like automatics because they never seem to shift gears when I'd like them to.

Left foot brake, turning every corner into a rally*.

Robio. We will be visiting the amusement parks this coming weekend. We would have liked to do it during the week, but we cannot do it any other day.

So a question for you. Is it worth to pay extra for the express tickets for Universal Studios? Not sure how crowded it gets in the weekend.

I would get it. Halloween Horror Nights is going on and that brings a lot of extra people into the theme park. And on a weekend it will be especially busy.

Thanks Robio.

Today lots of shit in a single day.

First we went to the tabasco factory. Which was awesome, with a nice tour and a cool store where you could taste al the tabasco. Then there is a bird sanctuary nearby with nice swamp lands, alligators and a buddha statue.

After that we went to the Shadows of the Teche plantation. We got a tour from a old dryed up skeleton lady. The tour was filled with old people. Ugh soooo sloooowww

Finally we went to the cajun village. Looked like the opening village from RE4. Vader should really visit it.

Tomorrow, we leave cajun country and we drive to Florida!

Make sure you've got some podcasts or something to listen to on the drive. I-10 in the Florida panhandle is one of the most boring stretches of road you will ever drive.

I second this.  If you have time, drive through Pensacola.  It's nice.

we will make some stops along the way. We will visit Mobile, sleep and eat in Talahassee and then we go to Orlando! We will be there Friday after noon. Will do some shopping first.

In the unlikely event you need something to do Saturday night, the country's second biggest comic book store, Gods & Monsters, is hosting a body painting event. Basically it's hot chicks wearing next to nothing getting turned into elaborate canvases (and there's a bar in the store). The place is only a mile or so from Universal. I think you'd dig it (your sister possibly less so).

It starts at 10pm so it's definitely late for someone who spent a day at a theme park, but it's where I'm going to be Saturday night and I wanted to extend an invite your way.

It sounds cool, but I cannot for two reasons.

It is too late, because we will be visiting Universal Studios one day and Disney the other day. The exact order is not yet determined.

Second my sister will kill me. That is why, when visiting the child prostitutes in Thailand, I go without my sister.

But Friday noon I will be shopping in Orlanda. We could meet up then if you want!

I will see what I can do, but can't guarantee anything, as I'm working a very solid block on Friday. Im still happy to play virtual tourguide though.

Doesn't your wife give you shirty looks when you attend these events?

Reached Talahassee.

First we made a stop in Mobile Alabama. Had a bite to eat, looked around a historic district. Some nice houses there and we were followed a few blocks by the neighbourhood dog. He was friendly though. We lost him whem he found another dog.

Went to the memorial park to see the USS Alabama and plenty of planes and a submarine. Very cramped in the sub. Will sleep here and tomorrow to Orlando. Hopefully to meet up with Robio!

My wife goes, and often is one of the models. So no, I get no shifty, shitty, or shirty looks.

Okay. Today I will be in Orlanda around noon. Will be shopping there. I will be available the whole day Robio. The amusement park things will happen in the weekend.

So if you want and are able to meet up, sent me the details of time and place. But remember I only have internet when I have Wi-fi. So I cannot check this site when I am on the move.

ok. Unfortunately this is a bad day for me or rather my schedule. I'm going to try to weasel out of work early and if I can do that I will know by noon today. It will all depend on if I can find someone to cover for me for the late hours.

basically if you can check in here around noon then you'll know if I can make it or not. Otherwise if I cannot please enjoy your time in Orlando.
