I am here to tell you that Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is good.
Good to hear. I'm always happy to hear a Western themed game is good, as there are too few. Unfortunately as a Wii only console owner this doesn't do me a damn bit of good.
Yeah, picked it up for its theme actually, since I'm not that big on shooters. At any rate, I managed to finish it in a couple days, in pure dvader/archangel style. Here are my final impressions:
Good, solid FPS, nice change of context, with the wild west theme and all. It's a game that doesn't try to set he world on fire, but manages to do the things it's supposed to do right.
Good music, nice visuals, some cool characters, witty one-liners and fun dialogue. Solid shooting mechanics, good hit detection, and a slow-mo shooting feature that makes you feel on a strange mix of Sergio Leone and John Woo.
Oh, and the story is suprisingly enjoyable!
that is good to hear. i bought the game as a birthday present for a friend last month and i wasn't sure how good it was
Alright dudes. Who here played the first one and the second one? Cause the first one blew.

I idn't. This is my first CoJ game.
Bound in Blood was pretty fun on PC, though the multiplayer didn't keep me engaged so I guess it's best as a rental for the single player. It wasn't without issues but yes, the fun story and gameplay kept you pushing onward. The few open ended bits were fun as well, I hope a possible sequel would expand on those, but without ditching the scripted gunfight sequences which were the best parts of it. It's basically Call of Duty: Wild West.
