The Happiness of the Katakuris, The Quiet Family. Ho-hum.

I hear one is a remake of the other. I saw twenty minutes of the Katakuris and switched that crap off. What is Quiet family like? Is that Kim Je-Woon?

I shall not dignify your question with an answer. Happy

Some obscure films I'll recommend just to see if you can find them and watch them:

Dark Fields

Are You Scared?

Burning Bright

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

Terrarium

The Human Centipede

--------------------------------------------

Listen to Iced Earth and play Doom

a buddy of mine was telling me about the human centipede at the pub the other night.  sounded most disturbing in a totally revolting kind of way.  don't know if i have the stomach for that

^It looks incredibly shlocky/undisturbing from the trailer. Then again, that's the trailer.

The Human Centipede was made strictly to gross people out. It's fairly tongue in cheek (or perhaps tongue in ass is more accurate). It's definitely foul though. Not for everyone. Not for me for that matter.

Is it wrong that I had already thought of the human centipede's main premise when I was young? (i.e. years before the movie)

But you can taste it. That's the beauty of the whole concept.

Ooooooooh okay I'll try to explain it. Probably safer than you actually watching it. Basically it's the story of a couple girls who get lost and eventually run into a mad scientist who sew them together (along with an Asian guy who is purely there for some great racist humor) by connecting their digestive tracts together to create a human centipede. The digestive tract begins with the mouth and ends.... well ask Steel to tell you if you don't know. He's the doctor.  That's pretty much the movie.

Yeah I've heard about the sequel though I don't think that's possible. Frankly I'll be shocked as hell if they can find actors dumb or desperate enough to take the job.
