It's time for Kid Niki, the Radical Ninja, to return! Just think of this as Ninja Gaiden Lite...with an once of awesomeness, directly from the Eighties. Radical!
KID NIKI FORCE ASSEMBLE!!
WOO!
Another Saturn game, another one I think would suit the 3DS perfectly... Anyone remember the isometric game Dark Savior?
While I very much appreciate the fact that I was able to DL Landstalker for the Wii THIS generation, as I said in the first post, I don't understand why sooo many other games from other systems were ignored. Dark Savior is another game from the developers of Landstalker. It was one of the earliest games that I remember that actually had branching storylines depending on your time limit in the early areas of the game. We'll probably never see a game like this one again, nor this one as a DL, just because of it's relative obscurity...
...and while we're on the subject:

Solstice by SONY for the NES...
Equinox by SONY for the SNES!

Two --MORE-- games I would LOVE to see the digital distribution or remake of, but I hardly think Sony would allow that on a rival 3D portable, and they would NEVER release it again on their own systems.
Dragon View:
I remember being AWED by its AMAZING 3D overworld ( ) but intimidated by the game overall! I would love to see it re-released again --JUST-- to be able to show myself that it was probably a heck of a lot easier than I thought!
I barely remember X-Caliber 2097, but it does bring to mind:

Knights of the Round by Capcom

Which, in turn, brings to mind:
Dungeons and Dragons: Tower of Doom and Shadow of Mystara

I may have missed out on all of those (apparently there was a collection of the D&D games on the Saturn) --BUT-- at least I'll be playing their spiritual successor this year in:
VanillaWare's Dragon's Crown!

Did someone already mentioned F-Zero, Starfox, Waverace, Excitebike, 1080 and Metroid yet?

Way to make the thread one of the ugliest in a long time.

You're doing it wrong.
HEY! DON'T YOU BE DISSING VANILLAWARE!!
What could you possibly say is wrong with Dragon's Crown?

Everything about the graphics.

I don't understand why we didn't get an F-Zero game this generation, especially considering how well Mario Kart did on Wii and what a FUCKING FANTASTIC job Sega did on the GameCube version. Starfox was recently remade. WaveRace... I just can't see them doing it without them making it part of WuHu Island, forcing your Mii's into the equation and basically RUINING it, so I am almost GLAD they didn't do it. Excitebike? I LOVED the 64 version! Even the stupid up-hill events. Why they didn't make the 64 version available on the Virtual Console is beyond me... Just plain dumb. 1080... Extreme Sports games seem to be as dead as the Tony Hawk series. I am actually very surprised at the reception SSX is getting, but, at this point, I don't think Nintendo could compete with EA in SnowBoarding. Finally, Metroid... They BETTER be working on a new Metroid for the next Gen! We have had --ALL-- of the previous games made available (with the exception of Zero Mission) this generation and on the 3DS, so it's not exactly gone --OR-- forgotten --BUT-- I STILL want a 2D Metroid Dread or a 3D Prime game on the 3DS --OR-- some kind of HUMONGOUS presence on the Wii U. No compromises there, Nintendo!
**Surprisingly AWESOME!**

Well EXCUUUSE ME, Princess!!
Not everything can look as good as:
**But seriously, I love EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING Vanillaware does. Didn't you like Muramasa?!**
Agree with Metroid. I want fucking huge, epic, Metroid Prime on Wii U. Go for broke!

Haven't played Muramasa or Odin Sphere. (I have Odin Sphere, though.) They both look absolutely fantastic, and just help to exagerrate how ugly Dragon's Crown is.
As much as I love the Persona, Devil Summoner and Devil Survivor games, there's ONE and ONLY ONE game... the only --TRUE-- Shin Megami Tensei game the West has ever seen... that matters, that --MUST-- be re-released:
If I MUST, I would "settle" for a new entry in the series --BUT-- LISTEN UP ATLAS: MAKE. THIS. HAPPEN: BRING BACK NOCTURNE --OR-- BRING OUT A NEW (ACTUAL) SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI GAME IN THE U.S. ! ! !

Damn straight, bitch!
*goes searching for his black headband that said "NINJA" across it*
With the popularity of games like Monster Hunter this gen, I am shocked Sega didn't take advantage and make another Phantasy Star Online. Yes, I know Universe came out on PS2 and 360... It was GOD-AWFUL. Yes, I know there was one for the DS. It was serviceable, and better than Universe, but c'mon --NEITHER-- had the level of polish and addictiveness of Episodes 1 and 2 on the GameCube! I also know there is one coming for PC, but I'm a console guy. Phantasy Star = Console RPG/MMO!
I'm probably gonna hear it for these two, but I don't care. There was a time when RPG makers took risks, then even BIGGER risks bringing them out to the Western market. These two may not have been the best games, but I love the unique qualities they represent and wish I had the opportunity to play them again!
...and Saga Frontier 2 was gorgeous, too!
Easily the best looking thread on here in a long, long time.
