lol at E.T.   That game was crap on a crap stick.  My mom got me it for Christmas once.

I'd say the RROD is the biggest fuckup, but Sony's current situation is a close second, possibly pulling into the lead by next week.

You just have to be old to really appreciate them. I was in Australia when I started "putting up with them" as you say, so it's not just an american thing.

His characterization in Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing is pretty very funny.  Whenever he taunts anyone it is always in this mellow, stilted monotone.  His turbo move is a forklift that lifts the other cars out of the way:

This is MUST WATCH:

EA's recent basketball games should warrant a mention.

Thanks to 2K kicking their arse year in/year out, EA decide to totally reinvent their NBA Live series, in the form of NBA Elite. At the same time, the company releases a new version of NBA Jam, hitting the Wii exclusively, and proceeding to piss off many a fan. After MONTHS of speculation, the company announce that it'll be released as a limited DLC release for the PS3/360 versions of Elite, pissing off the remainer of the market.

Then the demo for Elite gets released, and shows to be a buggy mess (with characters T-Posing at random points!). It's thanks to this that a week before Elite hits, EA decide to delay the game, and release Jam as a seperate disc. Not too long afterwards, Elite 11 gets cancelled, thanks to missing its timely release. The only versions out there are an iOS game, and some few PS3/360 copies that happened to get out. There's also no sim basketball game coming out this year - with EA not releasing one till 2012.

As for Jam? The company released an overpriced, bare-bones disc that was barely a patch above the Wii game. Sure, it hadn't motion controls and included online play, but it was a reminder about how that game had dated and how EA had done better (NBA STREET SAYS HELLO!), and the big remix mode was godawful. And after confirming that they won't be supporting that version, they announced a new downloadable version which WILL be constantly supported and have a whole bunch of new modes, and will be much more affordable.

Yeah, I'll be supporting 2K from now on. At least they release buggy games that aren't complete piles of shit.

The product that I thought was the worst from Atari was the Jaguar. It was supposedly going to be their big re-entry into the console market with the 64-bit powerhouse but every game on the thing looked like total crap compared to the other systems.

You know, it's kind of been overlooked, but I think the business decisions involving Nintendo 64 was a tremendous mistake as well. Sure there were some excellent games on it, but the reality was that machine was the start of a serious downward spiral for Nintendo. Sticking with cartridges, alienating Square, going after the family audience, etc. That started the descent that took them from the industry leader to a distant second place and eventually a 3rd place during the GC era.

I agree with that entirely.  The last decade of Yamaouchi's reign nearly destroyed all Nintendo had built up to that point.  At least they had the sense to appoint Iwata before it was too late

Yeah, Nintendo sticking with carts back then was stupid.
