I was embarrassed when I had a GameCube and all of the Nintendo favorites at a time when "hardcore" players only played XBOX and PS2 games.  Everyone was gushing about Halo while I was quite content with Luigi's Mansion and Pikmin.

I was the same but instead of embarassment I felt pride and like I was the one who could just enjoy good games (or whatever I wanted) instead of making my choices based on what was hyped or cool.

The only problem I had was with parents.  They always tried to guilt-trip me and make me feel embarassed about playing videogames (any videogame), so I was almost like a closet gamer when I lived with them.  But at some point I just stopped caring about what they thought so it was fine

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu

My father was a complete dick about this for many years. Even used to tease me about it being just for kids whilst ignoring that my older brother still played them and the average age of the gamer was nearing 30 or something. He's changed over the years.

I think the only time I got embarrassed was one time when my brother came over with his 8 year old son...and I decided to show them some Devil May Cry 4 I think it was. A cutscene came on with that chick who had GIANT tits and a huge ass...and my nephew was like "wow...look at that!" I just looked at my brother and neither one of us knew what to say really...so I started talking about baseball or some shit and quietly turned the game off. lol

Ninja Scroll? LOL Kick-ass movie though.

I remember seeing it when I was 14, lets just say I loved it. Is there a Blu-Ray release?

This wasn't a case of embarassment, but it is a vaguely related anecdote. I was 10 when Soldier of Fortune came out (so the purchasing of it makes for another interesting anecdote) and greatly enjoyed the game. Okay, so it wasn't the best FPSer ever, but you got to shoot off people's limbs. That was pretty awesome, especially for the time. Anyway me and a friend used to play it a lot together (he was a few years older than me).

Anyway fast forward a year or two and a friend from school was visiting. He was one year younger than me, and hardly played games. What better game to show a 10-11 year old who hardly played games, than the hilarious awesomeness of Soldier of Fortune? Which had previously proved to be a great deal of fun to play with someone! Well, it turns out that apparently some people find shooting off people's limbs and heads more disturbing than amusing. Thankfully him I quickly came up with an excuse to play something else (he was probably too scared to) and all was well again. Probably until he went to bed that night.

I imagine that it would be like showing Aspro A Serbian Film.

I'm not really sure what the point of this is. It wasn't really funny at the time, either. However Soldier of Fortune still is.

To be fair... I was expecting drive-in schlock when I first saw it and I ended up with a gorgeous looking and well acted exploitation film. It's still fucked up beyond belief but it's a well made movie.

Also, I'd pay to see a livestream with his reaction XD

As would I, but I'd pay more for Rayman Origins.

Beach Spikers...if you change embarassment to indignation. It's not Dead or Alive you idiots, it's actually a good game! Hrm
