Here's the site

http://zero4.higashinoeden.com/help/help.html

I'll be trying it out soon.

-installed it and it's working perfectly. They did a great job.

And I see what the reviewers were talking about when they were mentioning the controls. Makes me think of the Skycrawler controls. The joystick moves your character forward and backward (up and down) and left or right turns you (on the spot) in that direction. You move the remote to pan up or down - and the flashlight isn't controlled by where you point or anything like silent hill. I can see why they would use this setup when you're combating ghosts - I imagine you'll have a little bit more of a vertical playfield than previous games.

Nice. Now I need to hear if the game is worth all this effort.

Wonder if Nazi-tendo will disable it somehow?

No real modding needing. It does use bannerbomb to install what it needs I believe but it's the simplest most non evasive modding that you can do. They guarantee it can't brick your wii plus you can uninstall if you need to send it in to nintendo.

I don't usually sell or trade in many games.Usually just sports titles or mistakes.
I might but I'll take so long to finish (plus my girlfriend wants to play it), that I don't know if anyone would be interested anymore.

So can you explain the torch controls a bit better? No IR?

Just the usual way - the light is projected infront of your character so you have to move your character to move the light. You don't have separate control over where it goes so you can't stand still and shine a light everywhere like silent hill. Which is too bad since if it was ir pointing they could utilize darker areas like silent hill does or even like some levels in the resident evil lightgun games.( I like those pitch black zombie sections) But I'm getting used to games not utilizing seemingly obvious ir functions(like little king's story) Doesn't hurt the game. They did utilize the microphone once. It's funny how glacially slow games have been in utilizing some aspects of the remote. Not enough great ir pointing and microphone usage yet.

Seen a few of the ghosts already. Nothing really jumping out yet but it's looking promising. I had the sound too low, the next time I play I'll have to crank it - great sound is a hallmark of this series. Graphics are like I remember from the PS2 - which is good but also too bad. Of course it did come out a year and a half ago - it would have stood out a lot better then. I'm really puzzled why it didn't get released - but maybe there's problems with it that I haven't seen yet.

And the characters run as slow as ever. Run damn you - run...

So I mean you push left on the stick and the torch moves left, right for right. But when you push forward and back doesn't your character move forwards and back?

How do you manipulate the torch to go up and down and scan around? I heard in the japanese review you had to rotate your wrist or something weird.

Ah - the light just shoots out infront of your character. You control your characters viewpoint - not the light really. So if you push the joystick left your character spins left and the light will spin left as well. You push up or down your character does move forward and back but the light won't really change since its just shooting out infront of your character.

Yes, the weird thing is that the remote controls  your up and down viewpoint. You keep it pointed straight ahead parallel to the ground for a standard view.Think of it as your head with a line of sight parallel to the floor.
But if you tilt it at an angle so that the ir pointer is pointing upwards (like it was your head and you were looking up, your viewpoint in the game tilts upwards. Do the opposite to look at the floor. (for a standard over the shoulder viewpoint of your character you might have to point down slightly )
It is kind of fussy but not complicated. I just can't explain very well. I'll see how well this works in the heat of the moment ghost fighting. I do like that if you shake the remote you get a 180 turn.
