I had been meaning to get a second DS lite for a long time now since I realised that parts of the touch-screen are so "off" that it prevents me from playing games which require a lot of precision such as trauma centre, meteos and ouendan (and a lot of other games I love).  It's not a calibration issue as I tried calibrating it countless times without significant improvement.

Since the DSi came out i've been thinking of getting that instead of another lite and that is still what I plan on doing since i'm not so keen on the XL.

oh i still have a phat in perfect working order but i just can't go back to it after having got used to the brightness and vibrant colours of the lite.

So i won't be getting an XL but i will get a DSi ... sometime this year

^I've been going back and forth between my big red DS Old and a DSLite and yeah, the screen difference is amazing.  The Old is just so dingy and yellowish.

^ LOL Yeah, even Gamestop gives more than $30 when you one trade-in!

Hell LOL I would love to see Vader asking for a car. As long as it's $100 and in good working order, please consider me for your Mercedes.

Shut up. LOL

I see that on ebay you can sell DS parts for $30. LOL

LOL

I wasn't willing to pay more than $50 for my DS, though.

Fuck no. Another hardware redesign? Fuck it. These things are expensive here, and handheld gaming is of little appeal to me anyway.

So, no.

Yes and no.  This one does not replace the DSi it's just a side-model.  I suspect the main thing pushing it are sales in the older demographic.

I see. I wonder if it's still comfortable at that size.

it is much heavier and much bulkier, so for someone like me, not comfortable at all.  hence why i will get a DSi instead.  For someon like aspro who has huge hands it may be more comfortable than the smaller models

Send the lite back to nintendo, they will ask you for £30 and then repair and send it back to you.

I'm suprised you're not on ebay, hunting down used parts to try and MAKE your own DS LOL

I still have a DS phat. Sad

I can't justify getting a new DS when I have one that works fine. So yeah, no big DS for me even though it looks awesome. BTW if any of you guys trade away your old DS lites or whatever please consider me, I am willing to pay like $30 for a used DS lite, as long as it is in good condition.

Let me tell you hobo-to-hobo that the upgrade really is amazing.  Not quire GBA to GBASP, but pretty close, maybe equal if you consider DS Phat to DSi as opposed to just DS.  The screen difference and form factor really is astonishingly better.

EDIT: I just realized that you've probably gotten the chance to use one already, and that's probably a stupid tip LOL
