This news kind of irks me for a couple reasons. First, it has Barry in it, and that's just a painful reminder of how Capcom continues to exclude him from the RE canon, despite him being one of the most badass characters. Secondly:

Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced that Resident Evil: Gaiden Wii™ will be released on the Wii on December 3rd, 2009.
“Wii owners have a special connection to Leon Kennedy, so we wanted them to have the full Leon experience,” said Capcom of America COO Mark Beaumont.“Gaiden is a key element to understanding Leon’s story and we want new fans who may have missed it originally to have a chance to experience it.”
Graphics will not be updated for the game, but new waggle and pointer controls will be added to the game to provide the player with a more immersive experience.Players will target zombies with the pointer to begin battles, and once fights begin waggle will be used to dodge and attack.Screenshots can be found below.
Originally released in 2002, Resident Evil Gaiden™ was released on the Gameboy Color to a warm reception and impressive sales.
