Why shouldn't I? I prefer English anime, not easy reading subs sideways in bed.

Because the Naruto dub is atrociously bad. Believe it!

I know this. LOL Wait till you hear Black Butler, guvnor.

Anyone watch Dragonball? There's like hundreds of episodes.... from the 80s too. Not sure I can do this.

Also I checked-out the 3ds anime app, pretty cool but 4:3 ratio?

That would be rotoscoping? And rotoscoped anime is awesome.

There's a live action Black Butler too, I'm afraid to watch it. I'm still waiting to see live action Gantz.

Anyhow, it took Soul Eater about 18 episodes to get "good", well better at least, that seems extraordinarily long compared to most animes 10-13 episodes to get going. Now it appears to have a coherant plot thread up and running. It's a very likeable show but so far not a very good one. Not bad or anything just sort of there.

After the Tenrou island arc ends, Fairy Tail part 11 is going the episodic route. It's still fun but it needs to desparately get into another arc as most of it seems pointless at the moment.

The Acnalogia episode went nowhere and I have no idea what benefit there is of fast forwarding in time 7 years.

So, 3 episodes into Gurren Lagaan, first two episodes were great, 3rd decent. I like how the first episode feels like the last episode, so epic.

Saw the first ep of Blood Lad, seems.... okay is the best thing I can say about it so far.

Up to about ep 16 of Black Butler, somehow I am growing to like this despite it being terrible in places.

Also saw the Blue Exorcist movie, great stuff. It's one of those "I will never forget the great times we had" kind of memory lapse stories though.

Picked up Blue Exorcist complete series and Space Dandy special edition eps 1-13

Tried the first episode of Excel Saga as Funimation listed it as a 'classic'.

I couldn't even make it past the first 10 minutes, it was abhorrent, seems to be made for those people with ADD - the insufferable people who demand attention constantly. Exhausting awful.

Excel Saga is exceptional. Hrm Unless you were watching the English dub, in which case it is one of the worst animes ever. The dialogue requires people who actually know how to control their voices, and you're not going to find many American voice actors who know how...:X And being a parody the dialogue/voice acting is more important than usual.

Yes, it was the English dub. Fuck me though, a gag every 3 seconds? Who has patience for that? Insanely annoying.

Fairy Tail's Hiro Mashima Draws 24's Jack Bauer

24: Live Another Day, the 12-episode sequel to 24 that aired in the US last year, is coming to Blu-ray and DVD in Japan on March 4. To celebrate the occasion, Fairy Tail mangaka Hiro Mashima has contributed an illustration of Jack Bauer (played, of course, by Kiefer Sutherland), and

Well it is often parodying ADD anime. However, you'd probably still find it too annoying in Japanese.

Saw the first two eps of Witchblade, I think it will take a while to get into this.

So this woman is discovered at the null point of an earthquake. Somehow she has obtained this magical bracelet which is the most powerful weapon on earth. When it is activated she turns into some half nekkid demon woman. There are also... demonic??? Robots? to fight?

Interweaved with a story about a single mother losing custody of her child to social services....

Yeah.

Well I finished 4 episodes of Witchblade, and I don't really have anything good to say about it.

It's one of those series which is neither here nor there. It goes into fan service mode when the Witchblade costume appears, I dont mind that. But the enemies make no sense, they are robots that look like humans. But it's not like they are android shaped with human skin that comes off like the Terminator. And they aren't T1000s either. They are stock humans that can somehow turn into machinery that looks like robots in factory. It's quite bizaare and wholly unbelievable.

The bits of quirk between mother and daughter is keeping the series alive at this point. Let's hope there is more of this and less of the posturing boring action rubbish.
