Just make a console that is comparable to the current gen so you dont get locked out of all games. But I dont care anymore, I only play Wii U for exclusives anyway.

Right... so about all those cross gen games...

Doesn't everybody?
Not me, I also played Rayman Legends on the WiiU
I think there's truth to both sides though: Nintendo (or its fanbase) shouldn't complain about lack of support, as the install base just isn't there for it to make it worth the time and effort for publishers. On the other hand, people shouldn't assume that if Nintendo made a console that could stand up to PS4/Xbone, it'd get the same level of support, because it won't.
They need to do something other than what they're doing now. Because otherwise there's no point in them making consoles anymore. They found lightning in a bottle with the Wii and that overshadowed the fact that they were losing the battle among gamers.
And that's the difference with Wii U....iys largely the same in terms of gamers, the Nintendo audience, and quality software. But they don't have the huge fly by night casual crowd making it seem like they're doing better than they really are anymore.
Since then, their user base has been fans of Nintendo software and not much else, outside of the Wii anomaly as I said.
The only way to change that is to fight fire with fire & if Nintendo doesn't want to do that they will have to be content with where they've been since that middle part of the N64's lifespan.
Nintendo lost the majority of 3rd party support when they chose carts over CD for the N64, and they have never recovered from that. I still wonder how well the N64 would have done if it had a CD drive.

They would have done remarkably better, as that would also have meant there'd Be no Playstation
FF7 was coming exclusively to the N64 until Nintendo announced the cartridge nonsense. Square jumped ship to Sony. Of course, that really didn't make much difference in the success of the PS1 since Square's games were quite niche back then.

And in turn Sega would have done better & Microsoft probably wouldn't have released a console. Nintendo fucked themselves & made Sega go 3rd party!
Finished this, now trying to master it. Better playing than the first for sure but is if actually better... I don't know. Feels like an expansion more than a big sequel.

Everyone gives it 10's and it feels like an expansion? So its influenced by Call of Duty then...

If it is better playing that it is better, right? What else would you judge it by?

Having better setpieces, better enemies, weapons, boss battles, levels etc.
No joke.

Ahh, when I say it plays better I take all these things into account. Otherwise I would say it controls better.
Still playing Bayonetta 1. I really like Bayonetta as a character, she is cool and funny.
What I am noticing about Bayo 1, is that the game is kinda grey looking. Bayo 2 is much more colourful. I just beat Fortitudo. That battle had some epic moments. Will try to play more today.

Graphically bayo 2 blows it out of the water. So much color, gorgeous game. All the frustrating parts of Bayo 1 is removed except I actually enjoyed the weird variety in that game.
Well, what can Nintendo do? Nearly every 3rd party on the planet has blacklisted them. If the other platforms had the same level of support, they wouldn't be doing good either. At least the few Wii U exclusives that do release are consistently hitting their quality mark. It's got tons of excellent exclusive games and is going to have more soon. That's about all Nintendo can do in the medium term, make sure the quality remains high. If you're talking about buying new studios or new deals to get more games, that takes years, not months.
If you were to just look at games, Wii U had a better launch than PS4/XB1 (Nintendoland, Zombi U, NSMB U) it's had a better first year (including Lego City, Pikmin 3, Wind Waker, TW101 and Super Mario 3D World plus all the aforementioned games) and it's about to have a great winter too.
Also, I just realised it actually took me about 10 months to complete AC4
Okay I wasn't playing everyday but still.
