Yeah, I've been interested in this for awhile. I like that there is a non dubbed version as well. And the environments are beautiful. The only thing I was wondering about was the story, but it sounds ok to me so far.

Combat worries me and it looks too simple.

it doesn't look like there's hardly any combat most of the time as the world deliberately looks so empty.  at this point that could be a good thing, or a bad thing, hard to say yet

Pretty interested in this title, even if I'm not sure what to expect of it. I like the atmosphere described in the screenshots. Combats or no combats won't be a deal breaker as long as the story is nice and the game well paced. Still not sure when I'll buy it, it's released the same month than Rune factory >_>

I'm guessing it's a good thing. Seeing the vids, it looks like this game's exploration and atmosphere will be its strong point.

I'm kind of still on the fence because of the lack of money. But I want to eventually get it though.

We've seen all the gameplay. You walk about with a torch, interceded with cutscenes.

I was not prepared for how emotional it was going to be! Incredible voice-acting too!

What a totally atypical game for a Nintendo platform!

The US Fragile comes with a reversible cover; I totally love that option!

The emotion present in Sonata is in Fragile in spades...

It is genuinely one of the most heartfelt and creepy (at the same time) titles I have ever experienced!

The game play is most similar to Silent Hill: Shattered Dreams!

You get a torch (flashlight) you direct with the Wii-mote.

You are guided by sound coming from the Wii-mote as a sort of Radar to locate important items.

You hold the Wii-mote up to your ear to listen to your Personal Frame (You robotic, back-pack, Guide/Protector!)

There are light puzzles to solve, items to gather, and a hauntingly beautiful world to explore.

The torch effects aren't as good as SH, but they work in the same way. The little green reticule you use to guide you is a little floaty and can cause you to look or turn around wildly if you stray too close to the edges of the screen too quickly, but it is not something you cannot get used to after a bit of practice!

There --IS-- combat in this game, although it seems a bit simple; so far it is strike, strike, strike in a simple three-hit combo with a stick or bamboo sword... but, hey, it's something!

You also have to search for invisible Malicious Thought entities using your flashlight and take them out; again, simple but effective!

You have Stats. You have hit-points. You gather items and money, so there's GOT to be more to the combat than meets the eye at first, but I really just played it for the first half-hour or so!

I'm going to have to go back to this after a short while; I have about 18 hours invested in FFXIII and a certain angry, former war Deity shouting for my attention, but this game is totally unique, deserving of more attention and I am glad I picked it up!

From Joystiq:

"I've never played a game quite like tri-Crescendo's Fragile Dreams for Wii. While, mechanically, it's a fairly standard action-adventure game – something like one of the PS2 Silent Hills with experience points – everything about the game contributes to a distinctive mood. Fragile Dreams is an exploration of quiet -- something few games ever have any room for.

Sometimes the quiet comes off as peaceful, sometimes it's eerie. Most of the time it's just melancholy. It's an appropriate feeling for a game set in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo nearly devoid of human life, populated only by ghosts and broken-down remnants of modern Japanese society. The game begins in an observatory that is, like most of the game, too dark to explore. Following the death of the old man who had taken care of him, a boy named Seto finds himself alone in the observatory, and seemingly alone in the world, for the first time. It's clearly been a long time since the world ended -- the old-style TV in the observatory is just an odd box that resembles a mirror to Seto."

This is how the game starts:

*to the sound of digging*

"At the very end of the summer that was all too short, the old man I was living with passed away...

Even after all the years we spent together I never knew his name.

Later that evening I dug a shallow grave in the front yard of our home and buried him there...

at that moment I was truly alone...

...in the world."

Sold.

Few games are able to convey emotions so effectively through text.

This must be the fabled sequel to Shattered Memories right? Nyaa

Can you tweak the IR controls in the menu at all?

It's got some lovely art to look at. Weird curios that I just want to investigate.

I like melancholy in games, I think that's why I like Majora's Mask so much. That moment when the town was about to be destroyed and I was sitting with Anju in her bedroom, with the wedding dress she would never get to wear, just waiting for death. So wow.
