WTF. Millions upon millions upon millions saw this, never heard anything like this. I am sure it affects a few people but it is not the norm at all.

Results 1 - 10 of about 990,000 for avatar headache. (0.29 seconds)
If you factor in the 3D, Avatar is the worst movie experience I've ever had. Again, I would have walked out if alone, and I would not go through that again. I'd also argue you're incredibly unobservant not to notice that half the screen at all times was broken focus because they tried to apply 3D to depth of field, breaking both.

Wow, so I'm LMAO 20 minutes into this new animation called Archer.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archer_(TV_series)
Set at the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS), suave master spy Sterling Archer deals with global espionage, a domineering, hypersexual, late middle aged mother/boss Malory Archer, his agent ex-girlfriend Lana Kane, and a less-than-masculine code name—"Duchess".[7] It was supposedly chosen at random by the agency's ISIS mainframe computer but in fact is the name of his mother's deceased dog, of which she has a disturbingly erotic photograph with herself similar to the Rolling Stone cover with John Lennon and Yoko Ono in bed. On the surface, Sterling Archer is a classy, devilishly-handsome spy reminiscent of James Bond. He is skilled in "improvised" combat and Krav Maga as well as small firearms, SCUBA diving and "Honey Pot" (blackmail through seduction).[8] Although he is sometimes capable of being charming and is highly regarded in the field, Archer is in fact destructively bitter and has a habit of charging outrageous expenses (such as prostitutes and $900 turtlenecks) to his ISIS account. His less appealing qualities include masked "mommy-issues," jealousy towards Lana's lover and coworker Cyril, raw male-chauvinism, dehumanizing treatment of his elderly butler, and his frequent verbal assaults on everyone in his path. Everyone at ISIS allegedly hates him, however the office is repeatedly noted to be a "hostile work environment" anyway by coworkers as insults fly in every direction.
forgot to say i watched "rocknrolla" earlier in the week (also whilst marking).
it's got cockney accents, dumb as fuck criminals and a silly plot. everything you've come to expect from a guy ritchie film (lock stock..., snatch etc) and just as bad or maybe worse.
avoid.
Watching this.
It's allright. Sort of a comedy/action spy thing. A spy is given a burn notice by his organisation and has to live in Miami and try and make ends meet whilst avoiding his FBI tails and trying to find out why he was burned.
It's not quite funny or slick enough for what its going for, but it has likeable actors and a fun script.
Plus its set in Vaders home town. Damn, you live there vader? Damned hot women on the beach there.
So today i watched
I expected a very good film since the movie that wins the grand-jury prize at cannes is very rarely disappointing. the film is actually much more than a good movie. i very much doubt i will watch a better one all year, and i couldn't recommend it any higher.
without giving too much of the plot away it's the story of a mixed race 19yo (arab-french) who goes into jail for 6 years on the charge of assaulting a cop. both the main character and the movie itself are very postmodern in defying conventions and easy characterisations and present a true triumph in individualism.
recommended very very highly
last night i watched "the exorcism of emily rose". a court-room drama/supernatural thriller supposedly based on a true story of a "possessed" girl who died after an attempted exorcism by a catholic priest and the subsequent trial of the priest for homicidal negligence.
i don't know why i chose to watch it as the chances of it being any good were obviously slim and none. i guess i hoped it would be good in a cheap b-movie kind of way. it wasn't. complete waste of time.
tonight i may get to watch the hurt locker if i am not too sleepy (or pissed off) after the chelsea game
aspro said:^saw it for the first time lat month. It is awesome. If ever there was a manga put to film, that is it. Would make an great game too.
had not thought of it like that, but that is very true actually!

I saw that a while back. It's allright. Nothing special.
What did you guys think of the exorcist films? I quite liked the follow up, can't remember if it was 2 or 3, the one where it ends in the prison cell with the crazy guy who thinks he's the devil.

That's the third. I only digged the first one, though.

There was this really freaky bit in the third one when in the hospital, someone dressed in a sheet rushed out to stab someone. Really freaked me out.

Holy shit I remember that part. Almost shit my pants right there.
yeah i watched that (exorcist 3) a while back. it was pretty creepy. i don't recall watching part 2 of the exorcist. i now quite like the original exorcist and appreciate the iconic status. when i watched it first in 99 (i think) upon it's theatrical re-release i remember i thought it was ludicrous and only good for comedy value.
what about the omen films? the first one gave me nightmares as a child

So freaky.
The 3D headache blurry stuff is worrying me now.
Anyone watching Caprica the Battlestar Galactica preview? Its pretty interesting so far, like a futuristic crime series only having the Cylons evolve because of some whiny, bitchy annoying teenage girl with stupid ideas about a fanatical reglion -- that's hard to take.
