In the end despite early promise, high production values and good cast True Detective lacked substance and was mediocre.

I am resigned to the fact that there won't be another quality tv show until David Simon (hopefully with Ed Burns again) makes something new.  So now I'm just looking forward to brainless entertainment such as Game of Thrones Season 4 and Walking Dead Season 4 part 2

I haven't seen Sons of Anarchy.

I loved it because it seemed like it was chaos and it was tense and seemed to be one tracking shot. I agree soooo much on the bolded.

WOAH!! Agents of SHIELD just became incredible!!! Finally an episode that delivers on an actual marvel show on TV. It was a non stop action thrill ride with so many crazy moments. Deathlok is running around, all of SHIELD is involved. Its finally effecting the marvel cinematic universe, awesome stuff.

I was genuinely surprised by the Deathlok reveal. It's about time he got some on screen love. Deathlok was one of my favourites from childhood, it would make a great TV series but I suppose the parents and networks wouldn't let a show with Death in the title be on kids tv. Even though modern Deathlok was a pacifist who never killed.

Yeah, a cartoon about a 'killer cyborg' wouldn't wash, even though it was really about a pacifist hero human who made artificial limbs for disabled people - who was then killed and had his brain put into a killing machine. This was 90s Deathlok at least, Dwanye McDuffie wrote most of it, he also did a lot of the Justice League TV series.

Just saw Captain America The Winter Soldier, I think we may have the movie of the year right here!!! WOW, it is the most action packed Marvel movie I have ever seen, even more than the Avengers. At it's core its a spy thriller action flick with super powered people doing insane shit rather than James Bond being a boring human. I know the first Iron Man is special cause of the performance of Downey and origin stories are fun but I will say this is second only to the Avengers in the Marvel Universe movies. Honestly it maybe a top 5 comic book movie of all time.

I don't think that will be the case for everyone as this is a pure action flick so those that go to super heroes to see some action mixed with romance and funny character situations as they discover their powers and all that won't get much from this movie. This movie you enjoy if you just want to get down to the action, you know the characters already, lets put them in the most danger possible and keep the movie moving at an amazing pace.

The action sequences are absolutely incredible, the scale is massive. Like the Avengers there is no more holding back, this is saturday morning cartoon levels of awesome shit happening constantly. The stuntwork involved should be awarded something. The fight choreography is the best I have seen in any super hero movie, this is martial arts film level fights.

Unlike Iron Man and Thor this movie is not just some one off about the characters that has little to do with the rest of the universe, the events in this movie changes the Marvel Universe completely and sets up everything that will go forward in Avengers and the TV show.  Now I understand why there is a TV show, Agents of SHIELD had been wandering around doing nothing until last week when all of a sudden it became incredible, it was all because this movie had to happen to change everything.

The acting was fantastic all around. Chris Evans was born to play Cap (Human Torch was a weird side experiment which worked but this is his role). Scarlett Johanssen is so good as the Black Widow, I never gave her much credit as an actress but she really nails every nuance of this character. Jackson gets to do quite a bit in this movie so that is nice to see, Fury is slowly becoming a more rounded character. Robert Redford is old, damn. Oh yeah he is great as usual. I am most surprised at Georges St. Pierre doing pretty well in his first role. I read up on his character, the villain Batroc, the first name of the villain is Georges; the odds of finding a martial arts expert named Georges to play some obscure character named Georges in your movie has to be astronomical.

This entire project will go down as one of the most incredible achievements in cinematic history. Phase 2 has outdone Phase 1 in nearly every way, lets hope Avengers 2 continues the trend of being better than the first. With these characters, with these actors, with this studio that is the actual comic company running the show I have complete faith.

The latest episode in North America was called "Deathstroke" and a lot happened in that episode. The producer's said they wanted it to feel like a season finale eventhough they still have five episodes until the real season finale.

It was the one where Slade met Moira.

I just saw Pacific Rim, it's like a huge greasy junk food movie but sometimes that's just what you want.

Vader I prefer the Thor movies and Iron Man to Avengers or Cap.

Agents of Hydra! What an awesome episode. The show is actually good now! Ward being a Hyrda agent was nuts, you can tell at the end with the looks he was giving but before then it was shocking that they went that route. Paxton will make for an awesome villain. They should have had the Captain America speech in there. Now lets see where this show goes. Will Von Strucker be giving orders. I heard Fury is going to be in the finale so he will come out of hiding at least for a bit.
