Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI get a moderate headache and eyestrain from 3D movies, and they also look quite blurry to me. I'll have to see if 3D gaming will do the same, but I suspect that will be the case.
Aspro, define 3D
Stereoscopic 3D effects are gimmicky at best, they will do nothing to change the way we play games
Parallax 3D, a.k.a. head tracking has more gameplay possibilities.
About 3D gaming in general, and the 3DS specifically, I need to see what tech it uses before forming an opinion.

Well that's no fun. I'm not nailing down any 3D tech explicitly, so if you think one is better than the other that's a fine expression.
I could give a flying rat's ass about it. All the 3-D I've seen over the years, whether it was movies, rides at Disney, or anything else has been cool for a few minutes but it's never what has made me enjoy the experience or not. And I've never gone on and on saying to myself, "everything would be better in 3-D.
If can be done cheaply though, then I'm all for trying it out. I think that's ultimately what Nintendo taught me this generation. If it's not a huge investment, give it a shot - you might like it.
And the route that Nintendo is going with the 3DS seems reasonable. It will be able to be done on the handheld but it's not going to be forced on every game like the Virtual Boy. It will not require glasses that will inevitably get lost and need to be replaced, nor will it require the purchase of a new $3K to $5K television like the PS3.

I don't know what this metaphorical "Dragon" is. But that sounds just plain WRONG to me.
As for 3D, I guess I should have watched Avatar in the cinema, instead of buying Avatar the cartoon on dvd. First series, how awesome is that?
Er..... anyway. If it works and doesn't give me eye problems or a headache I am all for it.
Seems a little weird seeing HD games being degraded to sub-HD because of the need to render the image twice. I thought HD was the standard/future? Now we're being told, sub HD is fine, as long as it's 3D.

You want a 3D enabled Trauma Team game where you can scan some old geezer's nuts.

Your opinion is wrong.

Seriously I just know there is going to be the gaming equivalent of this but I'm hoping devs actually make an effort with the tech and don't rely on the "shit flying at you" cliche.

Has anyone here actually experienced one of these 3D games on a PC capable of it?
I think most of us have this idea of great it will be, but I'm guessing the real effect won't live up to our hopes.

Right, the new 3D is not liek Disney, it's not about things flying at you. It's about adding depth to the image. With gaming it will be a whole new layer putting the player into that experience. You got the surround sound, the incredible graphics, and soon the screen will not just be some flat image. These are the first steps to the holodeck.

Shit doesnt fly at you, it adds depth. Did no one see Avatar.
