your second partner in TWEWY is actually the most useful to you in battle however unlikeable and he is the most integral to the plot i think ...

and i don't think it's too much of a spoiler now since i'm sure you suspect it anyway but the game won't end at the end of these 7 days either and you'll get a new partner then

Since I had 200 DSiWare points sitting around and burning a hole through my pocket I opted to use them and get Paper Airplane Chase.  Man oh man what a turd.  I wasn't expecting greatness or anything, but this just sucks.  Not even fun for 5 minutes.  You just control a paper airplane to fly around some lines or something.  I'm hardly against games with simple basic premises, but you can't even pretend that this is fun. I would have had more fun with the Mario themed calculator.

As far as the Dingoo goes I've primarily still used it to play the Minish Cap (damn fine game), but I've filled in the gaps with a lot of NES gaming.  Rush'n'Attack, Kid Nikki, and Rad Racer this week.  I'd forgotten how much fun Rad Racing was.  That was a pretty popular game amongst the kids that I grew up with.  I know Square went on to focus more on RPGs but I'm surprised they let that IP just die.  Then again I don't know anyone who so much as saw a screenshot of the sequel so maybe it was just a one-hit wonder.  Then again maybe outside of Atlanta, Georgia no one even played it.

there was a paper plane mini-game on the first warioware for gba which was really addictive and awesome and i spent many hours on the bog running high scores for that one.  you had to guide a paper plane in its never ending decent to avoid hitting any of the walls, one hit = game over.  of course on warioware it felt like a neat bonus, i don't know how i would feel paying for that ... but it was a decent pastime, don't know if what you got is any similar

That's exactly what it is. According to the description tt was taken from Warioware.   I don't know, it's not my thing at all.

That's what I was thinking. That warioware game. You paid for that minigame? LOL

I used points but they weren't really paid for.  When I registered the DSi I got 1000 free DSi points.  I used 800 for Mario vs. DK: Minis March On (which is actually starting to grow on me - details coming later), and then had this last 200 just sitting around.  Had I known that the Electroplankton games were going to be released individually for 200 a pop I would have held off for one of those.

there are a couple of planktons in electroplankton which are really fun to play with (and a few which are worthless), that one with the leaves and the water drops is certainly one of them (hanebow i think).   i'd imagine electroplankton would be cheap to buy boxed by now though, as it's like the first DS game ever (or maybe it's rare and expensive because of that)

paper plane may yet grow on you, i didn't think much of it at first then at some point i found myself playing it compulsively and i got hi-scores over 500

I had it on the DS. One of my first DS games if I recall.  It was fun at first, but after a while got a little old and I ended up selling it on eBay for a pretty good deal.  I believe the game goes for more than the original retail now.  It's all over eBay with buy it now prices of $50 or more.

Like you said there were a few fun games on it, and if I can get those particular ones for $2 a pop I'll do it in a second.

I may have judged Mario vs. DK: Minis March On or whatever the hell it's called a little too harshly.  Turns out the game does have some challenge to it if you're willing to stick with it long enough.  If you can get through the round of the game and "win it" a new version is unlocked that is much more difficult.  If you can put up with the first two hours of fluff levels then the real game is unlocked and it's enjoyable.

Plus there's a few neat little surprises as you play on.  Once you get to the roof you can play levels with mini Toads, Princess Toadstools, and I think mini Luigis and Bowers aren't far behind.

Anyway it seems the game's biggest sin is just offering no challenge in the beginning.  To put it in perspective of how easy the first levels are, my 3 year old son beat a few. So it's safe to say the game started off a tad too easy.

Oh for the love of god could Beat be anymore useless??  All he seems to be able to do is get his ass kicked and say, "yo, we're in trouble."  Fuck that, WE'RE not in trouble.  I'M in trouble because YOU are a damned moron.  Uggghhhh. . .

Going to try and finish up the game tonight.  I'm on at the end of Day 4 on Beat's chapter and hating every second of this ass clown.  I'll take Joshua back in a second.  He may have been a dick but at least we didn't die all the freaking time.

Game over.  Great final battle, but I have to say I really loathe the multiple final ending battles.  When you can have unlimited continues it really doesn't up the stakes that much, just makes it more annoying to have to sit there and finish it.

So anyway, The World Ends With You was a great game.  One of the best games I've played in ages to tell the truth.  So many original ideas and for the most part each one of them worked.  It's pretty rare to see a genuinally original games these days, but to actually see one that's great from the get go. . . well it's all the more impressive.  Nicely done SE.

Not sure if a sequel is ever necessary here, but if they do try one I hope it's on a console particularly the Wii.  They did so many cool things with the battles using the touchpad that I think the same devs could pull off some neat things using the the motion controls and IR.

Once again, great game.  Definitely a must-own and in my mind it's the best handheld game SE has ever made, and one of the best 3 the company has put out since the merger.

I own a DS, and I am not compelled in the slightest to buy games such as TWEWY, Chinatown Wars, Rhythm Heaven or Scribblenauts.

I will at some point.  I've been hitting the game hard for a while and need a change of pace which will start in about 10 minutes with Art Style: BOXLIFE.

Am I weird for not liking TWEWY? I'm sorry to the fans who like this garbag--"I mean"--game, but it just didn't hook me like I wanted it too. I bought into the hype and wasted $40. Biggest waste of money on a game in my life, ever!

But Hotel Dusk was cool. That and the entire Pheonix Wright series drained away precious hours of my life. I felt so empty when I finished Trials and Tribulations. That's how much I was engulfed in the game.

Lately, as some know, I'm playing the PSP a lot. Some of my favorite handheld games are PSP games now: Resistance Retribution, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Prinny, and this new Korean golf game, Pangya Fantasy Golf are all fun to play.

Now Playing: Golden Sun Dark Dawn, God of War Ghost of Sparta, and DKC Returns

Yes. Yes you are. Let's just leave it at that and ignore the rest of what you wrote.   >: (

You are entitled to your opinion, but I do not see how you could hate the game so much. My friend had to literally beg me for weeks to buy the game, after I told her that I frankly could not stand its style and that I had no interest in it at all. I continued to be skeptical until roughly the end of the first week (Shiki's revelation), at which point I became hooked.

TWEWY went on to be my favorite DS game, and one of my favorite games of all time.
