Personal reference note for potential future use, a lot of 2022 was spent playing fortnite and Monster Hunter rise, which I couldn't quite finish.
I think we've used up all the kissing scenes.
Time to break out the belly rubbing shot!
But in the meantime:
1. Mind Scanners" 5th of January.
For normality and the structure!
2. Final Fantasy Adventure: 19th of January.
Grow in peace, Zelda.
3. Wandersong: ???
Yeee.
4. Metroid Dread: 15th of August.
Surely I played other games too?
5. The Good Life: 10th of March?
Not bad.
6. Psychonauts 2: 26th of April.
A worthy sequel.
7. Omori: 26th of September.
Great.
8. My Friend Peppa Pig: 1st of October.
Disappointing.
9. Bugsnax: 1st of November.
They could have made the bad ending a bit more graphic, but other than that it somehow lived up to its premise.
10. Agony: 18th of November.
Needed more genitals.
11. Beacon Pines: 30th of November.
Needed more branching pathways.

- Route 96 - 13/02 - Switch - enjoyable indy game set in a fictional autocratic state where you'll repeatedly try to flee the border, meeting up with a recurring cast of interetsing characters. - 8/10
- TMNT Shredders Revenge - 07/07 - Xbone - enjoyable mostly for the nostalgia. Could have used more varied gameplay. - 6/10
- Mini Motorways - 07/07 - Switch - very enjoyable puzzler where you have to draw the roads between houses and offices and keep traffic flowing while it gets ever more busy. - 8/10

Resident Evil Village is finished and is easily second only to RE4. I wasnt feeling the beginning that much but it turned out to be a superb game. What was up with that Chris segment though?

That boulder punching son of a bitch!
The game's story kind of crapped the bed in the second half. Things were much more interesting when you didn't know what was going on, and then once the truth of the whole scenario comes out the story just feels very much on autopilot. But the core of the game of fighting and fusing demons is as good as ever.
Anyway, good game, glad I played it, not in a hurry to go back.
1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - 29/01/2022.
Some highs, some lows and about 5 hours too long, but ultimately alright aye.
2. Halo 3 - 07/02/2022.
This is now the only Halo game I've beat twice.
3. Marvel's Spider-Man - 18/02/2022.
A little bit repetitive, but pretty good overall. The seriousness of the ending surprised me.

- The City That Never Sleeps: Silver Lining - 25/06/2022
4. Death Stranding: Director's Cut - 05/05/2022
Somehow this is one of the best games I've played in a long time.
5. Ratchet & Clank (2016) - 26/05/2022
First time playing a R&C game. Was surprised at how quick and fun it was.
6. God of War (201 - 15/06/2022
Good, but the open world/crafting elements added nothing to the experience.
7. Infamous: Second Son - 27/06/2022
I was not expecting that bad karma ending.
8. A Way Out - 10/07/2022
A good co-op game, but could have used some more variety.
9. Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires - 23/7/2022
Deputy Dan took over Japan with his trusty daughter, Erin Melon.
10. Warriors All-Stars - 21/08/2022
'No Matter the Cost' ending. This game is fuckin' bonkers.
11. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 - 30/08/2022
1 completed.
12. The Wonderful 101: Remastered - 25/09/2022
The main gameplay look is extremely fun and chaotic, especially when you unlock all the main liners. The story is suitably ridiculous. The big downside is the needless flight and space harrier-esque sections that really bog down the whole thing.
13. Deathloop - 15/11/2022
Really enjoyed this and wasn't surprised when I found out it was by Arkane. Though, the ending was quite disappointing and felt rushed.
14. God of War: Ascension - 27/11/2022
Finally played this one via PS+ streaming which worked surprisingly well. That means I've played all but Ragnarok, which I'll get to eventually. This is like a better version of 3 in a lot of ways.
Well my first finished game for the year is in the books. Just finished Tales of Arise on Xbox One. What an excellent game it was. Very long with lots to explore and do. Great production values with the in-game graphics and animated cutscenes. Combat is a lot of fun and there are a number of impressive boss fights. Enjoyable story and characters. Has more stuff to do after you finish to keep you playing more. Tales of Vesperia was my previous favourite in the series but this one bumps it down to number two. 9/10
I loved that part. Really didnt care for the Chris part though. Still sn excellent game, second only to RE4.
Crysis 3
Shakedown Hawaii
Enigmatis 3
Grim Legends 2
The 2nd games story just wasn't told coherently and the main character had no motivation to help out.
Grim Legends 3, feels like you've been dropped into part 2 of a two part movie series.
Grim Legends 1 however was pretty good.
I should point out, outside of Enigmatis, there's no relation between numbered sequels in these series.
They often exist in different worlds and stories than the previous games.
And now we move on to Burial at Sea.
Minor gripe, but I did think episode 2 went a little too overboard in tying up all the loose threads that it did. Kind of felt like they were just running down a checklist at a couple points. But overall it more than did it's job connecting the two games and feeling like it's own piece of the puzzle.
I never expected to have to make this myself, but Foolz told me to make one, so you'll have kissing Russian men at the top of the page and you'll like it.
1. Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped [remake] [PC] – 1st of January to 7th of January
Turns out it's my least favourite of the original trilogy. 7/10
2. Project Zero [PS2] - 8th of January to 17th of January
I wonder what it's like with Japanese audio... 8/10
3. The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit [PC] - 18th of January to 19th of January
On the third anniversary of playing the original Life Is Strange. Time for 2. 7/10
4. Humankind [PC] - 21st of January to 31st of January
After a while it becomes a bit too mindless for my liking. 7/10
5. Life Is Strange 2 [PC] – 22nd of January to 8th of February
I still prefer the first game, but there are some important upgrades here and an appealing story. 8/10
6. New Pokémon Snap [Switch] - 9th of February to 23/24th of February
My first ever Switch game completed. This is so much bigger and more substantial than the original. 9/10
7. Elden Ring [PC] - 25th of February to 21st of March
Why is this so big? 9/10
8. Pokémon Legends: Arceus [Switch] – 12th of February to 12th of April [break for Elden Ring]
I would rather have played Sword or Shield, but it was an acceptable alternative. 7/10
9. Crysis [PC] - 2nd of May to 12th of May
Military stereotypes, clichés and propaganda and a very underwhelming last third. The entire load and save system crashed permanently one minute before the final cutscene, so I watched the rest on YouTube. The island looked nice though. 5/10 out of spite
10. Bugsnax [PC] - 13th of May to 12th of June
They should have actually made Viva Piñata instead of being influenced by it. Bug6/10
11. Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising [PC] - 17th of June to 4th of July
The gameplay is pretty fun and the story is often amusing. Generous 8/10 (but 7/10 if I'm not being generous)
12. Demon's Souls [PS3] - 28th of June to 13th of July
What an experience going back to this after playing all the others. (New Game Plus.) 8/10
13. Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (Phantasy Reverie Series) [PC] – 13th of July to 16th of July
I'm so lucky to have missed out on the Wii version. Those English voices... (To clarify, the new version has the original PS1 audio.) 8/10
14. Inscryption [PC] - 17th of July to 31st of July
I like this. 9/10
15. Fire Emblem: Three Houses [Switch] - 1st of August to 24th of August [Crimson Flower] to 14th of September [Silver Moon]
I played this for about two weeks longer than was fun. 8/10
16. Pokémon Snap [Switch] - 15th of September to 17th of September
This felt like a proof of concept for New Pokémon Snap. 6/10
17. Super Mario 64 [Switch] - 21st of September to 27th of September
This really is outstanding for its time. 9/10 (or 10/10 if this were 1996)
18. Super Mario Odyssey [Switch] - 28th of September to 9th of October
A huge improvement over the underwhelming Super Mario Galaxy (though I can't speak for 2). 9/10
19. Poppy Playtime [PC] - 14th of October to 15th of October [chapter 1]
- 16th of October to 17th of October [chapter 2]
I like the first person puzzle-solving elements. There's potential here. 7/10
20. Visage [PC] - 26th of October to 31st of October
I must have got the wrong game, I thought this supposed to be scary?! No, it was fun. Except when it was a bit too esoteric. 8/10
21. Beacon Pines [PC] - 4th of November to 8th of November
What a surprise; an impressive adventure game with a twisty story. 8/10
22. Crysis 2 [PC] - 12th of November to 15th of November
I can't believe they made an FPS set in New Donk City. 8/10
23. Monster Train [PC] – 23rd of October to 17th of November
A fun card-based game. If I could have something more it would be better story integration. 8/10
24. Pokémon Scarlet [Switch] - 18th of November to 24th of December
First main Pokémon game since Sun, got to be my least favourite since Platinum at least. 7/10 (or 6/10 if I'm being more critical)
25. Parasite Eve II [PS1] – 9th of December to 30th of December
I never realised how little I actually played originally. 8/10
