I thought this reply would be in the cereal butchering thread. Consider my level of respect for you unchanged. I was also going to make some gross generalizations about some form of genetically based detoriation of taste buds in Oceania based on 2 individual anecdotal cases, but I will refrain from doing so untill further evidence surfaces.
So, as should come as a surpise to absolutely no one, Sanders' campaign is over. Trump 2020 confirmed! (They seem to take two-term turns, anyway, though.)
Wouldn't Bernie need protectionist policies to rejuvenate the middle class whose labour was exported by America's first black president? Bernie's foreign policy is also more radical than Trump's, isn't it? (Though given the bipartisan policy is to encourage terrorism and foment, at least the image, of international insecurity, a radical change here would actually result in greater (perceived, at least) security.)

Probably would have been irrelevent if he wasn't, too.

Has navy seal larping always been a thing at American protests, or is it just the latest innovation by the NRA's incredible marketing machine?

Good to know I might be on the right track!
It's about time they called him out. I am sick and tired of the Misinformation Age.
The thing I find most interesting about the depiction of social media companies is that outside of them cutting content from their platforms based on their ToS they are presented as if they do not wholly control how their content functions and what is encouraged to become popular through their use of algorithms. Twitter and Facebook are all designed to encourage sensationalism, it's not that Russians or kooks are suddenly given a platform to disseminate their views on, it's that the platforms want sensationalism because sensationalism gets clicks and longer page views and more replies. It's no coincidence that before content optimisation it was actually very difficult for propaganda to spread on the internet, even though you could much more easily compared to now find dissident content. Since content optimisation, there's a pretty good argument that the proposed legislation isn't censorial enough, and they should really be be straight up considered publishers and not platforms. But there's also no denying that this would be an even more censorial move, albeit one based in the currently accepted level of censorship in the US. Also in the fight against safe sex working conditions, it wasn't a big hurdle to overcome, so why not here? (Because sexual intercourse outside of marriage is worse than murder, read the bible; I mean they should, prostitution is pretty chill in the bible, actually; and there's even an important didactic story about how important it is to actually stick to the deals you make with harlots.)
Anyway, on a similar note; I hate Reddit('s front page). It's literally just television for the internet now. Case in point: police brutality and lynchings. Both of which are horrifying and outrageous and someone really oughta do something about them according to the front page of Reddit! But then tomorrow, omigosh, can you believe these riots? What is the world coming to??? And don't even get me started on Hong Kong and China (incidentally, did you know that Reddit is Chinese propaganda, say the people on a thread in support of Hong Kong nationalism)!
Bring back the child porn and gore, I say.
Also, don't interpret this as me being a Russia gater. I have no idea if the Russians disseminated a lot of propaganda during the electon, but if they did, good on them I say! For one thing, the first step for America becoming a strong democracy is not national reform, but an international system of voting; until then, propaganda and terrorism are the only two ways for international citizens to participate in the world democracy...
I'm also not pro-censoring social media platforms, I'm just pointing out that beyond Trump's hissy fit there is method to the madness (just as there is in Twitter putting a fact check thingy on his posts lol).
Trump and Media is basically a punch and judy show, both have lost all credibility with me.
Trump is an idiot, the media is pious, both equally reprehensible.
